9-3 with L’s to say bama, OM and LSU wouldn’t be terrible with a new QB

8-4 fire Jimbo.

That's not going to happen. Injuries, another crazy COVID conclusion. Think investment in this guy. Besides, who are you gonna replace him with? The miracle was getting him to start with.

8 wins with this schedule should be super easy yes.

It wouldn't be terrible but it'd certainly not be a success.

I know everyone laughs at talks shite on this board all the time but the fact that Jimbo has A&M to the point where most of us agree that anything worse than 9-3 a year after losing a 4 year starter at QB would be disappointing is a feather in his cap. He hasn't taken A&M to an elite level yet, but he's certainly raised their floor and made them a consistent program again (which hasn't existed in 25 years?).

I mean I think we'd all agree that A&M is now a program where the expectation every year is to win 9+ games and be a Top 15-20 team. That's better than A&M has been as a program since the end of the 1990s.

It would be like the 2010 LSU season where we lost to Auburn which was frustrating but acceptable and then dicking around and losing to Arkansas.

They are recruiting well in the trenches and on defense. Texas will always produce quality skill players and good OL

Anywhere from 2-5 losses.

Will lose to LSU and Alabama

games against Ole miss, Arkansas, State, and Auburn will all be close.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them trip up against Mizzou

Yep - think that is the best adjective that would describe it for them - frustrating.

8 wins is not the goal.

Yes, that's why I said Jimbo should get fired if he only gets 8 wins. What's going on here?

Pathetic OOC schedule.

If Jimbo doesn’t win 8 he should be canned.

Maybe not fire, but the seat will be getting very warm. Jimbo was brought in to build a title contender. The recruiting is there. We're started to see some on field success. If he's going 8-4 in year 4 then its likely not going to happen. Time to move on. We're not here to be just okay.

But the likelihood of 8-4 is very low in my eyes so I am not all that worried about this hypothetical. Maybe if half the team gets injured and we forfeit a game due to covid then its explainable.

I pick 9-3 for Aggies. Aggies lost a lot up front in the oline. Redshirt freshman quarterback as well. Defense is legit but inexperienced upfront will cost them.

Love and expect to see 12-0
begrudgingly take 11-1
luke warm to 10-2
agree w/step back at 9-3
big issues w/ 8-4

second place isn't enough.

11-1? Maybe 10-2. I think 11-1, though.

If Georgia loses to Clemson and Alabama (SECCG) 11-1 could get you in the playoffs.
