Agreed. I'd rather SC come from out of nowhere like last year.

Auburn up at 11 is also pretty surprising.

Freeze has stacked a decent amount of talent and has a nice transfer portal class coming in.

Looks like a complete joke. I’m not just saying that because Alabama is outside the top 10, either.

Illinois and Florida in the top 10?
Auburn at #11? I think Auburn will be a good team, but preseason #11 seems way out there.

So no other SEC team is doing the same thing.

Actually happy about it. The only ranking that matters is the first one and this helps players focus instead of sitting around reading about how great they are.

Plus, this is just stupid clickbait and a terrible ranking in general.

They return 18 starters and went 10-3 this year, they should definitely be top 15 but top 10 is a bit much - they dont have the high end caliber athletes to do much more than they accomplished this season IMO

They are a tough, well coached team who racked up wins simply because the B10 was extremely soft outside of the OSU/PSU/ORE trio.

Yes. That's why they're all ranked high. It is going off the potential of the projected roster.

Your projected roster is you are about to have 40 1st year players out of your 85 scholarships. None of those 40 are 5 stars. Ole Miss is about about have 45 of them and only 1 of them is a 5 star.

Your average recruit rating wouldn't even have Auburn ranked in the top10.

But honestly, the entire thing is a joke and just clickbait.

I guess they missed Ole Miss and Missouri recruiting class and transfer portal class. Mizzou will be much better based on the team getting from the transfer portal and the players from last year's team. Losing Cook is not a problem. Should be an upgrade and wide receiver, a push or maybe an upgrade. Then Drinkwitz got OLs and DLs and other pieces. The roster is actually better than last year's roster.

Jared Smith and Malik Autry are 5 stars on 247. Deuce Knight is on On3.

So not sure what you're on about. Auburn has recruited much much better than Ole Miss or Mizzou over the past 3 cycles.Auburn has had the #19(Freeze's firsso noteven a full cycle),8, and 6 classes. Mizzou is like 31, 21, and 17. OM is 16, 17, 17. All 247 rankings.

In no way should Auburn be ranked anywhere near 11th, but to say the roster is still bad isn't true.

SC at 8? I mean, I'm a SC fan and I think they're high. We're 20-25 at best.

You mean the writer who set this up was high while doing this.

Biggest troll ranking I've seen in a while.

Clemson's recruiting has fallen off a cliff. They aren't getting better.

AU should at least win a few games before being preseason top 11.

Should generate some rage bait clicks though.

Well, I'd agree, as a UGA fan....we have alot of question marks. Smart recruits well and we have talent, but we lose alot of DL and OLmen. That is the most concerning IMO. I'm no expert, but I'd put us around the 10-12 spot.

You mean the writer who set this up was high while doing this. How did Mizzou end up beating Auburn without the starting quarterback for half of the game? This year the roster is better than last year. Plus the quarterback should be better than Cook because he can throw more accurately and has a stronger arm to throw the ball farther. Plus Cook was hurt throughout the season.

Until Sark hires an OC I think we'll still have the same struggles on offense. Having a mobile qb will help but I don't see us getting over that hump until Sark decides he wants to be head coach instead of HC + OC.
We'll see. I would just rather not be #1 going into the season.
