For some reason I thought Mya was on OU, I guess I watched a lot of A&M softball in the post season last year (really the only time I watch softball) but I remember seeing her as a freshman making some clutch hits last year.
That’s insane that with all those transfers you’ve been able to weather that into the season you guys have had.
Your coach is who she is so it’s not surprising

The freshman are really good . If anyone wants to win a title probably should do it this year . Next year OU has 5 of the top 6 players coming in as freshman and two are pitchers ! I expect to see a few older players transfer out again. If you really wanna think about how good OU has been , realize that we also lost several big time players, Jordy Bahl to Nebraska, Erricson to UF, Nugent to Tenn, Lilio to South Carolina, Sj Geurin to Auburn. All of those were top 5 picks players in the nation over last few years . Avery Hodge to LSU she was ranked 6th in her recruiting class. Imagine this team with Bahl and Landry.

All the OU logos on this thread is just cute as the dickens.
Hadn't seen an OU logo in quite some time.

I'm sure you saw a lot when you got swept.

Hang that "co-champion' banner
Maybe you should go back and check your '93 and '94 SEC Baseball tournament championships?

Congrats to OU for being SEC Champs clearly by record. Someone needs to remind SEC admin that this is the SEC and not Bush League. What an asinine decision!

Your homework is to go back and look at who won the 1990 SEC Baseball tournament championship.

Softball is embarrassing to watch and needs revamping. My kid ran longer base lengths in 8u baseball. They should call it mini ball.

So we do have a precedent. I'm a little surprised at the amount of outrage here and elsewhere. It rained nearly all day yesterday and is supposed to do the same today. Weather happens, especially in outdoor spring sports.
It's obviously disappointing given that they didn't play each other in the regular season and the accompanying buildup, but single-elimination league tournaments in diamond sports are anything but proof of any team's overall superiority.
Minor bragging rights with a minor trophy were all that was at stake here. The regular-season championship is the real championship. And I'll be the first to admit that A&M got hosed on that one with the Georgia rain-out game.
As much as I was looking forward to the matchup, it's better to move on, rest up and prepare for travel to the tournament that counts. They made the right call. To wait around and see if they could play on Monday would have been far more ridiculous with the already-rushed logistics of the NCAA tournament.

It's okay. There is still the possibility OU and a&m can play each other for the National Championship.

That was embarrassing to... losing 6-0 and and still getting "Co-Champion".

Why not declare no champion?

That would probably be best.
