I'm guessing that'll be the timeframe, but haven't seen much on it.

I think now that the Lilliputian has moved on, a 9-game schedule is a real possibility. Maybe even 10-game.

I want Flo5ida.

10 > 9 > 8 imo

I would love 10, but I just don’t see it with OOC commitments. That would mean a lot of buyouts. I’m not even sure they will go 9 in 2025. If they do, it’s likely just flipping the 2024 schedule between home & away, unless they adopt a 2-6 or 3-5 (which actually would be a great idea imo..)

Count me in for 9-10!

Just 25 and maybe 26, we don’t even know what the conference will look like in 2 years.

We've got games against FSU and Wisconsin in 2025. frick swapping one of those for a game against MSU or Vanderbilt.

FSU
Wisconsin
Cream Puff U

Auburn
Tennessee
LSU

Texas or Oklahoma
Florida or Georgia

Ole Miss or Miss State
Arkansas or Texas A&M

Kentucky or Missouri
S Carolina or Vanderbilt

It’s a good schedule. You would be losing a cream puff game. Something like this will happen at some point..

9 game, is really the only way. It’s the best rotation.

3 rivals and 6 rotating
Gets rid of .500 sec schedule
Allows for 1 or 2 big OOC games , plus a money game.

Not ebven sure how it’s a debate.

because the bottom teams want to be “bowl eligible” each year.. or to have an extra home game for more revenue.. and while I hope it doesn’t happen, that mindset might cause losing some teams at some point.. it’s all about eyeballs and money at this pojnt.. I don’t like it, but that is where we are..

Unlike a bunch of teams SOME of us play a REAL ooc rival every year. If you do that you don't need 9 or 10 conference games.

Hopefully it stays at 8 games. It's a good number.

A 1-7 doesn’t work with 8 games.. so if they do choose 8 games, I hope they choose a 2-6 or 3-5 model.

Alabama vs Auburn
Alabama vs Tennessee
Georgia vs Florida
Georgia vs Auburn

Those all need to be played every year. There are others as well.

No game HAS to be played every year. A 1-7 schedule allows games to be played every other year. Traditions are long gone in cfb

Perhaps this is because you don’t have a football rival that should be played each year? I’m guessing you would have a different opinion on baseball.

So which two of those 4 games I listed should not be played every year?

Alabama vs Auburn or Tennessee?
Georgia vs Florida or Auburn?

It’s pretty messed up anyone would want those games to end, especially when there are options with a 2-6 or 3-5.

With a 2-6, LSU would play all 15 teams at least 6 times in 13 years instead of 6 times In 12 years.

It’s ridiculous to vote for a 1-7 over a 2-6 model.

Please tell us who that is for Texas?

Don't say aTm. You all ducked them since their move to the SEC in 2012.
