We picked up Nick Calzada in the portal so I’m guessing between him and Cutter Boley.

Our QB had 9 TDs passing and 2 Ints and 2,200 yards. Stat wise, I am not sure we go backwards

Based on what? I mean, he might be, but what are you basing it on?

Interestingly Lagway looked most like a freshman in his last 2 games vs FSU and the bowl game.

If we don't hire an OC Lagway may not look as good as people expect next year. His play calling is pretty atrocious and will definitely stunt Lagway and the offense at times.

Are you the psycho who lost her mind because Florida didn’t get the Gator Bowl invite? I’m not sure if it was you or not, but one of you Gators took that news very, very hard.

Both got absolutely dominated by Bama and both squeaked out a close win.

Will Bryce Underwood not start for LSU next year or is he redshirting?

He went to Michigan. I was watching his first practice and he looks like he could start right now. Guy is unreal

Bama - Milroe? Simpson? Other?

Apparently it won't be Milroe, thank goodness, or Simpson would probably have entered the transfer portal. It's also not a good year for quarterbacks going in the draft, and next yr appears to be better, so this is Milroe's best chance. Most mock drafts have him going 3rd among the qbs, though I don't think he's anywhere near the 3rd best eligible qbs.

Lonergan, who many practice observers say was the best passing qb on the team, transferred out, so that leaves Simpson and Mack, since Russell will be a true freshman.

There is also a possibility of a transfer from a team in the playoffs with a year's eligibility while Russell develops. An example could be Ewers. That might make Alabama and Texas both better, because I think Manning is probably the best qb in the conference. I don't expect a transfer in,though.

I expect Simpson, and it's nearly a slam dunk that he can't be worse than Jalen Milroe, though it may take him a while to develop since he hasn't had the opportunity to get much game experience. What game time he has gottten it appears he can read a defense better than Milroe, has better pocket presence, and is more accurate. Will be interesing to watch the qb situation at Alabama.

Lagway getting his leg healed will do wonders for him.

I know everyone expects it will be Simpson including him but I think it will be Mack with Russell the 2 guy and Simpson leaving. Mack is Deboers guy and he wouldn't have brought him in if he liked what he had.

It could be Mack but Simpson has been the #2 guy all year and I think he'd have hit the portal were he not pretty sure he's the starter next season. According to the practice observers (remember them?) Simpson has a pretty good grasp of the offense and Mack is still developing. There is, as we know, a spring transfer portal too, after spring practices, so it's possible that Mack could have a great spring and Simpson portal out at that time. That would require Alabama to find a qb in the spring portal because though Russell is considered elite high school qb, you never want to depend on a true freshman in the SEC. Most likely, even if Mack has a good spring, the coaches will use the old "fall practices will determine the starting qb" ploy, to try to keep both on the roster.

The backup QB fans are everywhere including Tuscaloosa and because of that, my skepticism of Simpson remains elevated.

One thing for nearly certain is that Alabama will have a better qb than Freeze has developed so far. Even Milroe is better than those guys. And the qb from Oklahoma that he just signed? He appears to be a good running qb and crappy passing qb. Thorne 2.0

I wouldn't mind Milroe.

Arnold has a pretty good arm. Pretty much won every single award Keelon won while in HS.
