These umps should be immediately kicked out of the conference rotation

The announcers are dumbasses. The replay clearly showed the catcher’s foot was in front of home plate before the pitch arrived.

The rule makes sense. How can a batter swing if the catcher is standing over home plate when the pitch arrives? Just having a catcher’s mitt in the batter’s swing zone is considered interference. Certainly having his whole body there is too.

It won’t be popular here but it was the right call.

I guess our batter should’ve just swung snd crushed the catchers head? It was a pitch you cant be hovering over the plate on a pitch… shitty play either way.

Actually yeah that’s what you’re supposed to do to get catchers interference. But he backed out, south Carolina’s fault not LSUs

It’s very rare that I would ever say this but this is the kind of game LSU should refuse to continue if the umps try to force them to

His foot was never in front. It was on the side when he caught the ball.

Does the runner have to go back and touch home plate?

So the pitcher stepped off, which means a throw to home is not a pitch. It would be batters interference if he swung at a throw to home that wasn't a pitch

Yeah, when a batter hits a catcher it’s catchers interference but the South Carolina player backed out the box.

Are you blind? There is no replay that ever shows his foot in front.
