It makes me want to hurl but any Iron Bowl being played at Jordan Hare is bound to be entertaining to an unaffiliated viewer.
The games are almost always close and weird and wild, the atmosphere is electric, etc.

OSU-Michigan (FOX): 15.9M

Just a hunch here. Columbus is a very high college football mmarket. Had Ohio State won Saturday afternoon, the IB would have had even higher ratings.

I read on The Athletic website that the Iron bowl shot up to 17.38 for the four OTs.

Ohio State vs. Michigan is the biggest rivalry in the game. It reaches waaaay beyond Columbus. IB is a great rivalry, but not bigger than OSU/Mich.

Debatable, but that's not my point.
My point was that since Ohio State lost, the Columbus market then turned their TVs off, thus lowering the later starting Iron Bowl game's potential viewer numbers.

Ohio has a population of 11.7 million
Michigan 10 million
Alabama 5 million

Best rivalry in the land in my completely unbiased opinion.

You’re so stupid… much like all posters from Arkansas. “TV Markets” are not about people watching games. It’s about number of subscribers to ESPN and the SEC Network
SEC revenue for 2012/13 was $289m… which popped to $455m in 2014/15 due to the SEC Network.
Last years revenue was $722m
With Texas A&M joining the conference, we provided a state of 30 million potential viewers. So now, the SEC can charge $1.30 for each person who has the SEC network rather than the the .30 to .40 cents per user if you live in a non SEC state.
Texas A&M’s value to the conference is $1.30/month for everyone who has the SEC network. I assume that’s at least 10m customers
You “should” be able to do easy math to figure out the value of our TV Market!
