Herb Jones is such an offensive liability. Makes dumb decisions, hogs the ball, poor shooter, not strong on the glass, etc. He seems to forget his role from time to time and we really struggle with wasted possessions when that happens.

Exactly, which is his role. He's not a shooter, but he sometimes tries to be the alpha on the offensive side as well. What I mean is there are some possessions where it is like he predetermines that he is going to take a shot, no matter what. He's so good when he remembers that his best skill set is ball distribution and defense.

Never said he wasn't. He's one of our best players. But Oats has to occasionally keep him in check and remind him not to go outside of his role and let the team take the most efficient shot.

Defense is hunting in packs right now. When you’ve got 4 guys on the court that go 6’5”-6’8” and hustle, well it makes playing offense pretty fricking hard.
