But lets be real. A two loss SEC champ LSU team would EASILY get in over UT

I’m not talking about talent. I’m simply talking about how UT situation is similar to 2017 Bama UGA regular season. UT lost on the road by 14 to #1. UGA lost by 23 on the road and Bama lost by 12 on the road. 2 teams ahead of UT will lose and we know it.

If LSU wins out they will get in. UT needs UGA to win the SEC for them to get bid. That’s the worse thing for UT right now, is for UGA not to win the SEC.
I agree, that would likely put an 11-1 TENN in the CFP. 100%. Worst case for UT is UGA to not be an SEC Champion and lose to an LSU team in ascension mode (assuming LSU is an 11-2 SEC Champion).

Let’s see what happens when your 3,000 miles away from Athens. UT had there chances and missed them. We over threw Bru and Hyatt for TD’s. We over threw Tillman that led to INT in end zone. We don’t over throw the Td’s it’s a different ball game. We had 21 1st downs. We moved the ball on UGA and killed ourself with mistakes. It will be a different atmosphere away from Athens.

My point exactly. Just like our game was at Athens.

And I know that. If you read where I said, that the worse thing for UT is UGA not to win the SEC. Only path UT has if UGA wins the SEC. If they don’t, then it won’t matter what happens after that.

but the we have a better resume than any 1 lose team in the country with the only lose is it the #1 team.
No. Your resume' will not have conference championship game on it.
The committee will not give you a bye week during the SECCG and reward you over any other team who plays in the CCG and has an equal number of losses.
Even the loser of the big10 championship is ahead of you if they only have 1 loss. Because they played in the game.

Not many if any of the teams below yall can do any better than we did at your place.
Y'all got lucky as frick that it started raining. If Kirby and Monken had kept the playbook open, Georgia would have easily gone over 40 points. Something like 44-13 would have probably been a much more accurate picture of what actually happened on the field.
Tennessee fans can talk themselves into their defense shutting Georgia down in the second half all they want. Anyone who watched the game knows Georgia shut their own offense down when they decided they had enough points to win the game.

Not a ridiculous comp to 2017, but they're going to need some help.
Clemson losing was BIG for this falling into place but they really needs TCU to stumble and Oregon to drop a game to kneecap the alternatives. They also need the Michigan/OSU game to be a blow out victory by either team to remove the loser as an option for a #4 seed.
Nightmare scenario for UT that closes any chance is LSU or Ole Miss winning the SECCG

Yes just like Bama in 2017 right? UT is 3-1 right now against teams in top 25. 2-1 against teams in top 15. No one else can say they have played that quality of a schedule. Strength of Schedule is one of the things used by the committee when ranking teams. And as of right now UT schedule helps them a lot right now.

Georgia saw no reason to continue to run their game plan once the rain started and things got slippery. They had enough points to win. UT was lucky it started raining because the Dawgs were just getting reved up and another 2-3 TDs wouldn’t have been much of a problem.
UTs gimmicky offense got exposed big time and I’m personally hoping they make the playoffs. It will be sweet to really lay it on them next time. Doubt that would happen though. I expect the committee would make sure that Georgia and UT didn’t meet until the NC game since they’ve already played. And UT won’t make it that far. They are not NC material

Y'all have a chance to make the playoffs. There, I hope that makes you feel better.

UT had 21st downs. Meaning we moved the ball on you. Time of possession was 29 minutes to 31 minutes. UT over threw Bru and Hyatt for Td’s. UT had everything went wrong and UGA had everything go right. There was 4 plays that flipped that game. We will be fine at neutral site.

We have the easiest schedule remaining.
This will be your problem moving forward...
The committee will start to forget your win against a sub par Bama team this year that took a miracle FG to win it. Instead they will remember in Nov the beat down in Athens and the shitty remaining schedule.
Unless, a bunch of other losses happen to help UT, you will be looking at #5 and Sugar bowl. Which is a huge step for UT

Yeah but Tennessee is not bama. You’re not going to the playoffs.

Tennessee could easily get in, but could easily get shut out. Wins over Bama and LSU are nice. Oregon has a bad loss from week one (but like Tennessee, it’s to #1 Georgia in Atlanta), but if they run the table in the PAC-12, they’re in. Tennessee needs TCU to lose at this point, because I think a PAC-12 is getting in.
If TCU wins out, it’s:
1. Georgia
2. OSU/Mich
3. Pac-12
4. TCU

You must have been watching a different game. What’s the matter? Too much moonshine? I was there. UT wasn’t even competitive.

The roughest melt I have ever seen on this page.
It’s ok buddy Georgia fans know what you’re going through. Thinking you had it in the bag and then having your heart ripped out. Finding out the truth sucks sometimes. You’re going to have to get better players though for a real shot at the title. You can’t go all the way with a rag tag group of 2&3 stars. We tried it and got smacked down every time by the big boys.
