How so? We gashed you last year and you lost a lot of your top players. You have Haynes and Jones on defense and that's about it. Who from that crappy recruiting class should we be afraid of?

they're going to be significantly worse this year on defense imo
Your opinion is....misinformed.
Last year was the worst defensive unit we've had in the last decade. We ranked in the 120s nationally in most categories. And I think we were dead last in the conference in almost everything.
We got a couple of key players back from injury. And we had a good recruiting class two years ago. And some solid JC transfers on defense this year. We can't be any worse and than last year.
But we lose our QB and a bunch of starts on the OL. I'm a lot more worried about our offense.

UT football has been 99% meaningless since 1998, so you can relate.

the fight in 1990 in Jackson was very scary also. things got very tense in the horseshoe at Veterans memorial stadium, while the 2 squads beat the crap out of one another on the field for 5 full minutes.

It'll the ugliest one in a lifetime, if I honestly had to place a bet.

I doubt there will be enough OM fans in attendance to call it a riot. Maybe a small skirmish

you might think of me as a wussy for saying this, but I was afraid for my safety that afternoon. on the field, there were at least 150 football players fighting savagely. and in the stands at the horseshoe, folks began to get caught up in the heat of the moment as well..the guy sitting right behind me was a die hard state fan that I didn't know, but we were sharing our whiskey with one another all game, and had become quite friendly. but when the fight broke out on the field, I saw it in his eyes the exact moment when the spirit of violence came over him, and I knew he was considering taking a swing at me.

Running a 4-3 this year, not 3-3-5. LB's will be better with a healthy Demarquis Gates. Secondary will be a year more experienced and hopefully Kendarius Webster is healthy enough to contribute. All this adds up to OM fielding a better defense in 2017.
We lost Fadol Brown who only started 4 games due to injury and D.J. Jones who will be replaced by Benito Jones (just as good if not better).

HA! That is rich! State and Ole Miss both have been more relevant than Tennesse for the last ten years. Y'all STILL haven't gotten over Phillip Fulmer. But you did have a ouche that wore orange pants who couldn't win on the sidelines for a while, so you have that going for you.

Yeah, that one was bad. I remember the next day they had an overhead shot of it in the Clarion Ledger. The main thing I remember about it was two Dawgs(I think one was Sleepy Robinson) had Ole Miss punter Charles Childers on the ground beating the ever living shite out of him, and no one could help since everyone was fighting. I felt sorry for the guy.

Yet in the last 10 yrs UT has been to ATL, and neither ms schools have. And College Gameday has been on UTs campus more than both combined.
UT is, and will be more relevant than the whole state of ms. Even in the worst period in UT history.
fail state!

You know a school is irrelevant when College Gameday is the main part of the argument.

Y'all are perhaps the fourth best team in a weak division. But by all means, keep telling me how great y'all are.

No it shows how irrelevant in the cfb world msu is that even in it's lowest period UT will still pull more attention.
So just gave you the range UT was in the last 10 yrs, and yall are still more irrelevant overall.

Yall are 'never beens,' so why does it matter what you are told?? No matter how bad UT is UT will still be more important than ms schools. Accept it losers
