SC and Clemson protect our borders best I suppose.
Only because they magically become qualification risks when they commit out-of-state.
Jk...mostly.
Thanks OP. That is a cool breakdown.
However, I thought it was funny how Arkansas' matches up well with the US drug corridors. Bert better be careful. Using recruiting trips to mule for the cartels to gain some supplemental income for the Athletic Dept is likely to get him a stern talking to and the program a light tap on the wrist by the NCAA.

I guess that's why they sign with SCAR, Clemson ... oh, and Stanford, Wake Forest and Notre Dame huh?
WF notwithstanding, the others could have signed pretty much anywhere but they went to academic programs.
And I'm really surprised Vandy didn't pull out of SC this year ... they usually do.
So yeah, the qualification risk things is, ummmmm, a big no.

Ole Miss came in 2nd for TX recruits, pipeline is open.
And that pipeline flows through Arkansas first. We had the same amount of recruits from TX this year including arguably the best RB in-state, but have been consistently recruiting TX since Bert was in diapers.
Our newfound pipeline is in Florida since CBB arrived, which has produced some of our top players since.

There is no reason to recruit TX. All the national championship talent is located in AL, GA, and FL. AU can recruit a 4 hour drive halo around the university, and bring in top 10 classes.

what happened to Stephen Davis, Jr? I thought he was headed to Auburn?
He is a qualification risk. More than likely he will not sign a NLI and just enroll at Auburn in the fall. The coaches told him he has a spot if he can get into school.

This might be the best most interesting post that I've ever seen on the Rant. Good work.

Really interesting, thanks!
On Mizzou, the new staff is clearly planning on making Texas a priority again. OK too for that matter. Lot's of Texas, especially east Texas ties on the staff. That map really didn't show it, but I'd expect Mizzou to be in the range of 4 to 8 players signed from Texas/year going forward.
Looks like a nice battle will be between Mizzou, Arkansas, & Ole Miss in the Bevo state for kids.

Why so sensitive? It was a joke.
Being just a couple summers removed from when 1/3 of a recruiting class had failed to qualify by July, we all know USCe has trouble qualifying kids whether or not the kid comes from in state.

Also Mississippi should never be above Alabama. We have half the amount of people as the state of Alabama.
Alabama puts out more fbs players overall . Not sure about the numbers but Alabama prob puts out more sec players on avg. Landmass kids are well known for staying home to play as well.
Mississippi puts out one of the highest amounts of talent per capita though. A large number of quality football players in a small state.

Shea Patterson sort of. He transferred from Calvary Baptist in Shreveport to IMG.
