re: Louisiana Tech will Replace Marshall in Independence Bowl

Could the Sun Belt sue Marshall? The conference will miss out on a cut of bowl money I presume? I know it was a Covid season, but lsu barely had a team going into that Texas bowl against k state. I don’t think pulling out of the bowl was ever a real option.

Power still out for most in East Downtown Houston. Parts of the east end/eastwood have electricity. Found a gas station that had a few bags of ice.

East Downtown. EaDo is the “cool” way to refer to it. It’s realtor marketing.

My portion of EaDo is still out of power. Got some fences and a huge branch down that’s pulling on a power line.
re: Manhattan condo. For sale for $595,000. Monthly HOA dues $6,975.

In Houston at 2016 Main, years ago I was shopping around and was curious as to why these condos were so cheap. Ignoring that it was across the street from the now closed but very notorious McDonalds and Greyhound station. It was under market for similar size and condition units. The condo fees were exorbitant. Likely because upkeep on an older building is very expensive and the HOA asking for special assessments is a pain.

The “blue lightning” is a transformer arcing. Saw several near me followed by an outage soon after.

Downtown adjacent. Lost power about 5 min ago. Wind gusts get pretty up there but the sustained winds not too bad. Saw some electric arcing in the direction of UH a little while ago too prior to the outages.

When negotiating the initial job offer I did. And got it.

Do order the Sky Rosa. But make sure you have access to a toilet for just in case.

I’ve only ever sat in a suite when there so I recommend that if you have the means.
Other than that, grab a beer pregame at Holy Grail or The Stretch. Reds HOF is top notch too.

I’ve got an Adam Dunn autographed baseball on my bookshelf. Does that make me a fan?

Try out The Mercer OTR for a classy but not too stuffy dinner. LINK
The Eagle, also in OTR. More casual and a little loud. Fried chicken sandwich is pretty good. LINK
If you’re in the Banks area between the stadium I like The Stretch. Holy Grail doesn’t have the beer or liquor selection that Stretch has but they have food.
