A head coach who's experienced an undefeated season and a national championship as a coordinator? Check.
A special dual-threat quarterback with an excellent chance to win the Heisman Trophy? Check.
A crowd of tough, grizzled veterans who enjoy winning all the more because they know what it feels like to lose? Check.
An unstoppable shotgun offense that runs up a record number of yards and points as it travels by air and land? Check.
An opportunistic defense that bends but doesn't break and gets better the closer the other team gets to its end zone? Check.
An undefeated record and a chance to win a national championship for the first time in forever at that school? Check.

Dak's pretty damn good, but let's be honest here. He's no Cam Newton.

Didn't beat Auburn by 3.

I still think it's a fair comparison (and complement) if MSU can close out the season, from a total team aspect.

So, what you're saying is we are close to having a "As the cowbell shatters" type of thread?

Eh. Cam was unstoppable, literally. Dak is very good, but he's not unstoppable.
What really evens these two teams out are the defenses. 2014 MSU shits on the 2010 Auburn D IMO.

Yea, if Dak is Cam good then we aren't winning Saturday.
Cam is the best college football player I have ever seen since I remember watching football (roughly 1991ish).

I'll take my chances again with a 24-0 lead.

I agree with you he is no Cam Newton, but the defense especially the front seven, is head and shoulders better than that Auburn team.

eh, AU had a really good front 7, and Fairly was better than anyone on either of these teams.
