Shitty pass defenses but good run defenses? Check.

This, sir, is my argument exactly. They aren't going to know what hit them

I agree with you he is no Cam Newton, but the defense especially the front seven, is head and shoulders better than that Auburn team.

The Auburn D and front 7 had the 2010 SEC Defensive POY and Lombardi Award winner, who was ALSO unstoppable

Dak's pretty damn good, but let's be honest here. He's no Cam Newton.

Doesn't take away the fact that he is pretty good. Most teams in the SEC would trade QBs with MSU if I had to guess.

No slight, but I honestly wouldn't

Neither would I at this point. But I would guess most teams would.

eh, AU had a really good front 7, and Fairly was better than anyone on either of these teams.

I think our run D in 2010 was in the top 10 nationally. Pass D, not so much.

edit - yep, run D was #9 in 2010. LINK

And as much as our pass D struggled, they had the ability to come up with big plays when we needed them.

I believe Auburn's defense led the SEC in rushing defense in 2010 and they held rent-a-trent and Mark Ingram to less than a hundred yards combined. A lot of people like to shite on Auburn's 2010 defense, but the only real weakness on that entire team was the secondary

Yes, it was a good question. Florida has never had an undefeated season. Mullen experienced an undefeated season at Utah, but he wasn't a coordinator.

Technically, he was a coordinator for their bowl game.

Scarbinsky corrected it: A head coach who's experienced an undefeated season and a national championship as a position coach or coordinator? Check.

Well, stats suggest he's very similar to Cam Newton. Now, on the other hand, Auburn yanked about 4 close wins out of their arse that year with Cam at the helm, and Mississippi State has controlled games with Dak at the helm, soooo, maybe you're right. He's no Cam Newton.

State fans are starting to sound an awful lot like that other maroon team when comparing their QB to Cam.
