Screw that, it only matters where your football team ranks.

What would it take for us to get AAU status?

I saw a lot of snobby Big12 schools in that list far below many SEC schools (except MSU) including Oklahoma.
Where is this "academic" conference the University of Texas whines about?

Didn't realize it was that high... I know the requirements have been going up recently because we're trying to stay around 25,000 students, so this incoming class had the highest average ACT score ever. Makes me wonder what it was before they started upping requirements.

Coming out of high school in '08 it was tougher to get in to AU than UA. Auburn you needed around a 3.1 with around an 1100 for acceptance. Alabama it was around a 2.6-7 with a 900-1000. A few kids in my class that didn't get in to Auburn went to Bama and then transferred to Auburn for specialized degrees. I do know the quality of education at Bama is really good though and I would love to go there.

Yes, unless their parents sign a waiver stating that it will be some sort of hardship on the parents.

I do not know where they get the data or how old it is. Auburn released this week that the average ACT score for incoming Freshman was 27.2 and a GPA of over 3.70. I do not know how you can have a 80% acceptance rate with those numbers.
