re: OT: Let's talk about oil/gas prices

Next question. Why not invest heavily in an ETF like USO that essentially follows the cost of a barrel of oil?

quote:But she's married. I went to UAM at the same time she did. I have a degree from there and the school did very well in prepping me for Vet School. I am on campus there a fair amount now with a college ministry. I love the school, and love living in this area, but it is close to where I was raised. It's a slower lifestyle, and a very low cost of living. More racially diverse than the Ozarks. To each his own. If you move down, and need a good vet, then come fine us at Monticello Animal Clinic.
Dr. Efird isn't sporting a ring.

Vet.
I was amazed. They gave him the sedative to help him relax. They came back with the lethal shot but he literally passed away in my hands before they administered it. Obviously it was the right choice even though I hate going through the process.
The veterinarian said that's only the second time he's seen the sedative actually take a dogs life. I feel more at peace knowing we didn't have to administer the lethal shot.
That tells me it was the right thing to do. He was tired of fighting.

Honest question for you expuhts. If you had new money to invest and didn't need to touch it for a few years - why wouldn't you put every penny in oil futures? Cash out when it hits $80, and have nearly double the money.

I'm sorry for your loss. As a Vet - I am on the other end of this often. I've come to accept that it is a needed service. It's ok to be upset by it. Normal even. Some men have a hard time with that, but shouldn't.

The announcers made this game really fun to watch. Those guys were having a blast.

He's been hit in the head one too many times. It's a sad thing really.

That's good. I had a friend at the game that remembers the glory years. According to him the the atmosphere was good, but could be better. We really need another Robkins, and the band to play William Tell Overture. Especially during those forced time outs after we've gone on a run. The crowd would get worked into a frenzy during those time outs. Now they pipe in music during those times after a Hog Call and play "Turn Down for What" or something to that effect, and fans sit down.

We are winning and in the top 25. Are the students back? If they are then the student section should be packed come Saturday.

Student attendance at BB games
Posted by Vetrock on 12/23/14 at 3:05 pm
I attended my first ever Hog game in the Bud earlier this year. Living 5 hours away, it was a treat. I was amazed at the lack of students at the game. I'm old and grew up on Sutton then Nolan, and remember the student section rocking. Exciting basketball is beginning to return, and we'd be 5 - 10 points better a game with a full student section. The tickets can't be that much, so I am really disappointed in their attendance. Solutions?

If it is near a power line then the electric company may do it for free to keep it from falling on their lines.

There's a light in Crossett too. Scared the crap out of me in college one night. And the Bigfoot thread on ARhunting.net just hit 700 pages.

I was at UAM at that time too. I figured you had to have played then when you referenced the bowl game. Their new coach is good, but is having to pick up the pieces from the crap that Matthews left him. He's recruiting well, and should have them rolling pretty soon again.

Lake Greeson last week while I was crappie fishing. Absolute serenity.

re: Which SEC fan base have you had the best experience with at an away game?
Posted by Vetrock on 8/7/12 at 9:22 am
1. Bama
2. Ole Miss
Worst - LSU - I have a degree from there and a lot of the stuff I watched the fans did to opposing team fans was just embarrassing.
