Missouri is actually very culturally aligned with the SEC, just not Columbia/St Louis. That being said Oklahoma and UNC should have both been added as well to get 16.

UNC is not culturally similar because they don't give a frick about football.

We are by no means a good football program, we haven't won shite but we care about what this conference loves most, Football.

(yea I know Kentucky and Vandy, but they're founding members, whatever)

If you poll 10 of our fans what title they'd want to win most, 10 would say football.

You poll UNC, 10 would say basketball.

Arkansas won a national championship in basketball within 3 years, won the SEC West in football within three years, and immediately delivered a perenial winner in baseball. I can't speak for UofSC, but Arkansas corntibuted immediately. Aggie needs to learn their place.

Why do y’all brag about going 8-5 with a loss to SMU after their death penalty?

A&M has gone 8-5 or better in 6 of the 7 years in the SEC. the difference is the SECW is the best division in football now and was crap that year. Y’all didn’t even finish ranked.

Congrats?!? The questin was about whther the athletics department contributed. We won the division. If we hadn't been in the conference, someone with a worse record would have won it. We contributed. How hard is this for you to understand? The University of Arkansas bolstered the SEC across all sports, male and female.

You contributed with an embarrassing OOC loss and then getting killed in your bowl after you got walked over in the SEC title game?

This is seems like one strange flex to me.

Can't get VT unless UV tags along. OU and OSU would be better.

ESPN isn't letting anyone poach from the ACC. Why do you think they are launching an ACC Network this fall?

And they will promote the hell out of it all summer.

Just FYI, Kentucky has lots of football fans, they just have not been successful at the sport since Bear left and they are less vocal outside the confines of the state.

Also, at least I will give UNC fans credit for knowing and discussing the game. Same can not be said for Duke fans. They are just rich Yankee kids slumming in the south for 4 years.

We've had two national championships in baseball. A Final Four in Men's Basketball. A national championship in Women's Basketball. And a number of AP Top 10 finishes in football. It's not all bad from SC.

But there aren't as many as basketball fans

Those aren't fans, those are Alums/students.
Fan=/=went to school there.

In NC you have "fans" guys that didn't go there and pull for Duke just because they are a good basketball team and live in the Triangle.

shite when I was in college you had a number of those come basketball season.

I like A&M, but the Texas little brother syndrome is a problem that needs professional help.
