It’s got an asterisk for sure.. UGA and USC either would have blown that team out that year. They just both list early, and then ESPN assured us non Conf champs should okay for the title.

Doesn’t Bama claim a 1973 natty after losing their bowl game? Why would a Bama fan chime in about that natty being near the bottom of natties? I realize Bama has numerous legit titles but 1973 is certainly curious.

Turn the caps lock off Pops. And get back to CSPAN. Not interested in re-living your past. LSU had a lot happen during the conference championship weekend. They did what was necessary and didn’t let us SEC brothers down. They won the BCS. So eat a meatball sub that was heated in the microwave and scratch your balls. And let it go.

Sorry but you’re totally off base. They have to crown at least one champion per year and that season was so screwed up that LSU was the best team in the country even with two losses doesn’t matter if you consider them or not they are national champions in 2007.
