At least FU has the balls to keep their biggest rival on the schedule.

That was the Bowden way. See Mark Richt. I don't think Jimbo preaches that shite.

"That really didn't matter to me," Ealey said of the suspension. "That's their decision. He shouldn't, I think, get suspended at all. We were just out there playing football."

Ealey said he had his eyes closed when Spikes stuck his hand in his helmet and he wasn't hurt.

"He really didn't gouge my eyes," Ealey said. "He really didn't get a chance to get close to my eyes."

The freshman said he believes similar incidents happen all the time.

"I'm pretty sure it goes on back and forth," he said. "We probably do it and other teams do too. It's all football. We're just out there trying to have fun."

Why don't you just watch the first drive of that game and you will know why I am glad Spikes retaliated. We were very thuggish under Meyer, but that is not how UF plays. That has been a trademark for FSU under Bowden. Echo of the whistle

Watched-it.

That '96 UF offense is more what SCAR's offense is going to aspire to be this season.

Just watching that game it amazes me how similar Wuerful's and Thompson's mechanics are in terms of footwork, throwing motion, etc.

What a great group of WRs UF had that year.

I hope Byrd, Roland, Jones and Cooper ... can do what Green, Hilliard and Anthony did that year

Good luck with that, 1996 Florida was the peak of the greatest SEC run in modern history (only 2006-2009 Florida and 2009-2012 Bama are close and both of those while winning more National titles also had a down year in the middle and only won 2 SEC titles a piece, Florida won 4 straight and barring the greatest team in college history would have another National title).

1995 and 1996 Florida blew out basically every SEC team they plated including Peyton's pretenders.

I went to that game. It was a lot of fun. The FSU fans were demoralized.

This is the one game I wish I could burn from my memory. This was the most demoralizing FSU loss ever.

Its good thing we are the Champs or my jimmies might of been rustled.

If UF would've beaten 1995 Nebraska for the title, Spurrier's legacy would've forever changed at UF.

People forget that 1995 Florida destroyed literally everyone because of how badly Nebraska beat them.

LOL! if only... If only we had a clutch kicker in the 90s, FSU would be all like "five rings yo" but hey... good luck in your continued quest for your first ever undefeated season "big brother"

glad you know your place. Maybe at some point in your (or your kid's lifetime) f$u might catch big brother in series wins.

Well probably not, but there's always delusion, right?
