Yep...of those 17 losses, the only head-scratcher based on talent/final ranking was 2010 South Carolina. Stephen Garcia was probably so intoxicated that day he doesn't even remember the game.

That 2010 South Carolina team was extremely talented though. Alshon Jeffrey, Stefon Gilmore, Marcus Lattimore, Melvin Ingram, DJ Swearinger just to name a few.

Oklahoma did this the right way with Stoops & Riley..
I would bet that Alabama will do something similar when it is time

We'll keep an eye on Sark and see how he does. You never know we may have to call him up to the big league when Nick retires.

South Carolina 39 wins to 24 losses of more than 14 points during that time frame.

But does anyone remember the 2000 LSU loss to UAB and the 2007 Alabama loss to ULM, Saban is beatable. Hugh Freeze figured him out and then Saban had him fired.

Two losses that occurred in his first seasons at LSU and Alabama before his program/process could be effectively implemented.

Hugh Freeze and Nick Saban happen to be good friends believe it or not. Also...there was nothing "figured out" by Hugh Freeze. The RPO was very new to college football and Saban's defenses weren't built for it. Now just about everyone runs what Freeze's offenses did from 2012-2016.

Saban could go wrinkles for the next two seasons and he’d still have a better win percentage at Bama than the next best SEC coaching resume of Jimbo

Another texas team dickriding bama.

Maybe texas and a&m could join together and just maybe be relevant again.

I think Sarkisian will do well at Tx and so he'll be settled in. Kiffin, though, is a possibility if he makes Ole Miss competitive and curbs the personality a little. Personally, I kind of like his arrogance but realize a lot of people won't. If Saban were to retire after this year, I'd bet on Cristobal. Who knows who it will be a few years down the road.

If Saban retires in the next 5 years it’ll be Dabo. If he rides it out longer than that it’ll be a coach who is unassuming at this point.
