In baseball record means squat… it’s about getting hit at the right part of the year.

Record has to be good enough to get you in. Preferably in a spot to host a regional…. Then just be HOT….

Skip said he knew the freshman were different but wouldn’t start them till he had to . losing four straight series will do that . The hitting deal is beyond me .. i have no clue .

Definitely says how strong the conference is.

The bad news: Techies are gonna say they were the second best team in the country.

We are top in all three major sports really. Our depth is insane in 3 sports.

We do have the depth still in football, but I have to say, never thought I'd see the day when another conference could go back to back to back with three different teams.

OU was ranked in the Top 10 in the polls earlier in the year so they obviously have a lot of good players but they're having one of the biggest flips from the regular season to postseason of any college baseball team I've ever seen.

They rallied big time to take down Georgia Tech in their regional and they've beaten the doors off of two very good teams (Kansas and Alabama) and one elite team (Georgia) on the way to the CWS final.

OU is having the most unlikely red hot postseason run of any team ever other than maybe that Fresno State team that ended up winning it all several years ago.

I want OU to win.

That said, watching UNC’s offense against our Ace opening night in Omaha was very impressive. Their approach at the plate is what I wish our hitters could do. They swing at nothing out of the zone. They may get out, but they make every single out a chore. You have to earn the out, they will not give it to you.

This should be an awesome matchup, hot team with a ton of confidence vs a consistent team who has done it all year long.

Absolutely pulling for Oklahoma to win it all. I hope a lot of Sooners make the short drive North through Kansas to support their team in the Finals.

Most credit goes to Skip Johnson.

Difference between 3/26 and now:

Trey Gambill: Was LF; now DH
Deiten Lachance: Was 1B; now C
Brendan Brock: Was C, now LF
Alec Blair: Was RF; now rides pine
Dayton Tockey: Was PH; now 1B
Dasan Harris: Was PH; now RF

And of course Skip also turned the entire pitching rotation upside down. They struggled for a few games, but all the changes seem to be paying off
