It's true. So many better games than that bullshite and it's the game of the century? The sensationalist arrogance it takes for someone to declare such an awful take is astonishing.

It was a great game. Both teams' defenses were stellar.

Was happy to get a redo.

That game sparked Saban to change/update his Offensive approach, and very likely changed the trend of college football.

That would be 2013 Auburn followed by Oklahoma. Kiffin would become OC the following season.

That int was one of the worst calls in college football history.

The Alabama receiver had full possession of the ball when he hit the ground and was down. The LSU DB then stole the ball from him after the receiver was down.

I actually remember exactly where I was when I was watching that game, in a San Antonio hospital because my daughter was born the night before.

I was there. Very frustrating game. Felt we were the better team but LSU just would not quit. Kudos to LSU for great game.

Also attended rematch in Nola. Honestly, Bama should not have been there. Really wasn’t fair to LSU. That rematch started the chain of events that has led to where we are today.

The game went Bama’s way but I sensed from the LSU crowd and the way LSU was playing that their hearts weren’t into the game like the first one.

Anyway, fun night and I’ll never forget those two games.

Vols play this style and you all crap on us for it. Talk about double standards. That's why Tennessee is the most complete team in the SEC and nation when our passing game is clicking.

I took my sons to the game. Even though, we lost, I was happy. Weird feeling but I remember telling my boys on the way home, there would never be a game that had that much talent on the field at once and we got to see it in person.

As an outsider, that was the most boring game “Game of the Century” I’ve watched. Just blah.

The oroblem was that when the two teams are QB’ed by a below average player (AJ McCarron) and a complete spare (Jordan Jefferson), it was never going to be great. Ton of offensive talent on the field, but just putrid QBs.

Here’s all you need to know, the game was so boring that the rematch was the least watched BCS title game of all time.

I didn’t know I could be as nervous for a sports game as I was for that one. None of the liquor I drank worked to calm nerves either.

You know, I’m not one to focus on one bad call in a long game where there were plenty of other opportunities to get it done, and surely many other bad calls…..but this. Receiver clearly down with control of ball before Reid ripped it out. The positioning on the field and timing could not have been more game-changing in that type of slugfest: that literally was the game. And I would typically say “whatever, shite happens.” But LSU fans are so mental about the refs, and the airspace that we all have to endure for the relatively inconsequential Peterson pick in 2009 makes this worth discussing from time to time.

LSU seems to have set their entire grievance-based identity on two perceived slights near the turn of the century (PP in ‘09 and whatever year that was with the PI against Auburn) while ignoring the many times they were beneficiaries of the zebras.
