Name one team in the SEC more dominant than Alabama in the 70s

During the period in question(25-34) Tennessee won 88 percent of its games while bama won 84. Tennessee was 4-3 vs Alabama during the time period. Your championships arent worth the paper they are written on.
You keep bringing this up. What you don't mention is that Bama either beat Tennessee (1930, 1933, 1934) or didn't play Tennessee (1925, 1926) during the years we won the conference championships during this time frame.

I liked seeing Tennessee on top of the list, but no way in hell I can put them over Alabama from 71-80. From 71-79 they had 11 total losses
That's what I was reading. But from 1925-1934 Alabama had 4 National Championships and 5 conference championships.
tennessee had 2 conference championships and no National Championships during that time period. Just because you had one more win against us does not make you the most dominant team.

You guys are still doing this incorrectly.

Just because you had a longer history and someone gave a championship out of respect doesnt make you more dominant. On field results do that.

I'm thinking he gets beach volley ball girls instead of car girls. Maybe more folks will pitch in that way.

none of that shite is relevant. those years were a waste from a football perspective. not nearly the competition as it is now.
Look at Baseball for example, SC winning 5 or so in a row looks great, but what was the competition. MSU brought high level baseball to the conf. LSU got on board and dominated in the 90s/earl 2000s. FWIW those are more impressive than football because they actually settle it on the field. giving Bama a championship BEFORE the final game is played as was the case for many teams through the to the 1980's was a farce.
The BCS is actually better than those "media" voting systems IMO.
For the sake of football start in 1990 and figure out your percentages, etc. and see what team has been the most dominant. i vote for Fla. This coming from an LSU fan!

that makes sense... including a tenn and alabama team from before there was a SEC
Esp given the elevated level of competition in college football and teh SEC in particular... I think teh runs Florida and LSU had over the last ten years compare favorably with a lot of those
LSU (2001-2010)
102-29 (0.779)
3 SEC titles
2 NCs
4 BCS Bowl wins

4 NC vs 0 for UT? it's not so cut and dry like that. self-claiming and rewarding retroactive MNC is a joke. Bama was undefeated 4 times during that time period, and claimed NC all 4 times.
UT had 5 undefeated seasons in that time span. what if UT claimed all 5?
and in a period from 1926-1932 UT only lost 2 football games. Bama lost 13 games from 1926-1932.

They weren't self claimed. Those were awarded back then. NCs from back then are not easy to determine, but don't try to make it out like Alabama just completely made them up out of nowhere

tired of seeing this argument between Tenn and Bama for something that happened before WWII!
Ok. I offer this to BOTH of you.
Take from 1980-today. Look at winning percentage of every team in the conference and look at MNC because after 1979 when SC and Bama were arguing who was really yhe Champion and the split between Ga Tech adn Colorado (1991 ish???), the NCAA said they had enough about this media, coaches, etc. crap.
So I say to you both since you guys want some non-bcs BS in there. Start at 1980 and compare all SEC teams and see which one has the highest winning %, most MNC, etc.
I vote Fla as the most dominant even considering those years with Galen Hall pre- Spurrier.
They had to play the U and FSu every year. IF there was a BCS then, they would have had a crazy SoS and would have played for more MNCs.

back then Southern Conference had Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Washington & Lee. In 1922, six more universities - Florida, LSU, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tulane, and Vanderbilt joined. it was like SEC on steroids, or super conference everyone were talking about last year during the off-season.
In 1933, thirteen schools located south and west of the Appalachians (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Sewanee, Tennessee, Tulane, and Vanderbilt left to form the SEC.
