There are plenty of one loss teams in the country. It's not just about "one loss.". The problem is the inability to come up with proper criteria for who plays in the BCSCG.

Most talented team: Alabama
Most dominant performances: Alabama
Most wins over ranked opponents: Oklahoma State

LSU vs Houston Jan 9! Should be a good one
Yep, the two unbeaten teams. It seems like the best path to take.

BamaStepL should be back in here to insult us soon.

Yet you write a post that proposes to state what the criteria is in the mind of the voters. Ironic!

Damn, how I want Bama to get locked out of the NC just so I can witness the bitching on here.

OSU should have a mulligan against Iowa State and then we should decide on who plays in the NCG.

I think that it should be whichever program bitches less. That make OSU the clear leader right now.

So I guess in 2006 it should have been OSU_mich rematch... Mich's loss was to a #1 team while Fl lost to a lower ranked Auburn.

We all know history proved that one to be brilliant. But by all means, lets institute that logic stat!

P.S. - I am sure you are a math major, but how the fack can you conclude with 2 11-1 teams that the only common denominator is the '1' you superstar you.

Gumps.....

Sorry, but the focus should be on who has the better wins. Not who has the better loss.

I say both. It's a full resumé thing IMO. There's no doubt that Bama's loss is "better" than anybody else's one loss.

If LSU loses to UGA, their loss is worse than Bama's. If there are other things that can offset the loss (like winning head-to-head?), then you look at that too.

So as long as a team schedules only one game for the season against an FCS team and they win they should be in the NCG? ND is interested.

Assuming that LSU, OSU and Oregon win their respective games....

With the current BCS system we have I would give OSU the nod to go to the BCS Championship game. We do not have a playoff system and therefore a rematch does not make sense to me. Both Bama and Oregon had their one shot and lost. At this point let someone else have their shot....

Stanford lost to Oregon who lost to LSU... So in my mind, they would not be in the argument....

Thats just me and of course, I don't vote...

Why are you allowed to completely discredit the teams' wins? If OSU had better wins against a better schedule (supposedly) why does all that get wiped away?

Relax. After all the smoke clears this weekend, the Tide will be in the big game- that's the good news.

The bad news? They'll be playing LSU.
