Unless going substantially smaller than your previous home or able to do a shite ton of finish work yourself it’s almost always cheaper to buy an existing home.

I’ll second the 110 Barnes Tac-tx black tips. Best supersonic hunting bullet for 300 blackout imo. Rolled a 322 lb hog at 80 yards and it almost passed through found the round on the far side just under the hide and perfect flower petal expansion.

My brother had safe floor in his bayboat it’s similar to playground granules. Good on the feet but rough on the knees though way more durable than the foam products.
Well had to eat my own words. Right at the end of shooting hours my daughter killed her first deer. About a 10” inside 4 pt. Beyond proud and she was the last of my three children to get their first deer. 80 grain Barnes ttsx out of a 243 did the deed. Buck went maybe 60’ and good thing as there wasn’t any blood.

Not gonna lie as I sit here I’m not sure if I feel like cleaning a deer / hog in this weather it’s hot as balls. Getting swamp arse in this stand.
Will be 11 years tomorrow that mine is gone. Massive heart attack at 53 years old at his desk at work. Thankfully he and my mother were young when I was born so I got to spend some good years with him. I was in a dark place for several years after but it’s gotten better and mostly think of the good memories now. It gets better with time

Truth it’s very apparent on that direct flight from Nola to Baltimore.
NIH I think you are missing the point of this thread. It shows that $100k which by most metrics is well into the middle class should offer a very comfortable life but the sad reality is that it doesn’t. Most are broke but surrounded by nice things. If I hadn’t come into money and just relying on my w2 I’d be in a bind. When even 5 years ago I would have been quite comfortable. Insurance is the biggest family expense being over $2k a month between home, auto and health. That’s just absurd imo

Been very happy with my 2500 tradesman with the 6.4. Has the 4.11 rear end and 4x4 that’s about the only options listed on sticker. Was easily $5k lower than the other brands. First time ram owner and have been pleased so far. Damn shame a stripped down truck is still close to $50k though
shite for $700 I’ll clean your one bedroom apartment so well you could eat off the floor. That’s more than I make in a day at my office job.

weekend away costs $1000 at an absolute minimum a few years ago
Yeah it’s insane. Had to go to an out of town swim meet in Tupelo. 2 nights at the holiday inn $392, meals for the weekend, $300 plus about another $70 in gas. That’s the kind of pop up expenses that kill your budget. Those several time a year extras that don’t seem to bad as one offs really add up.

Yep even with mine in public school (thank god we moved from south LA) I would wager they still cost a good $5,000 a year each to raise between food, clothes and sports, doctors visits, gifts etc. that doesn’t take into account the hundreds a month extra for them to drive plus extra phone bills.

Gone back and forth on one income a couple times. Best we ever did was $175k combined. My field is pretty much capped in that $90-100k range
