Yeah I’m sitting in Biloxi waiting on one of my kids for a school function it’s currently in the upper 50’s looking at all the maps today it was showing mid 60’s along the coast Sunday I didn’t think a warm up was coming so I’m guessing this thing may be plunging a bit harder and faster than anticipated.
Live further north but everything I saw showed fairly warm weather out this way.

re: Do you think it's possible an advanced civilization existed billions of years ago on earth

Not sure about the billions part but I’m certain we aren’t the first advanced civilization of humans. A world cataclysm is certainly enough for all that knowledge to be lost hell look at the fall man caused with the dark ages. Also their tech may have been much different than our own and not left behind lasting evidence of tools etc.
Until they are old and lonely
I get that it would be fun in your 20-50 year ages but once your friends die off and there is no one to visit you I can’t see that being a fulfilling life plan

My brother has the roam and uses it on work from home days in the deer stand just hooks it to the battery of the sxs. It’s game changer for outdoorsman that need to remain connected for work

Odds of a cyber attack with shite fixing to pop off in Iran and Russia / China saber rattling over it?
Man I hope so Cuba could be the jewel of the Caribbean. Several Cuban men that fled when Castro took power worked for my grandfather. They we the best people you could ever meet. They knew the horrors of communism and revolution. Many had very good lives in Cuba pre Castro all gone when they nationalized everything.
Mine are due by February 1st but thanks for the reminder that it costs approximately $400/month to occupy property I own outright. It’s infuriating

Depends on the state. LA if no activity for 10 years it is supposed to revert back to the land owner. MS once they are decoupled it is permanent. I do not have any mineral rights on my land in MS and have no idea who has them. I do have the rights to timber, sand, gravel and clay.

re: Mississippi retirement hunting property

Property taxes on my piece are under $800 a year and I have a pole barn with electricity on the property. Cheaper than the out of state hunting licenses we paid before moving to MS. In our county timberland is severely discounted for property taxes.

While it wasn’t directly thought of as a retirement plan I bought 130 acres in Pearl River county back in 2017. That said it has damn near doubled in value since purchase. Nothing quite like having your own piece of land. One day my kids can do what they want wether that’s selling off the 70 acres of planted pines, selling the land or just keeping it in the family for future generations.

Man that’s pretty spot on. I took my money and moved here because of the stuck in time, less people and cheaper aspect of this state. It’s like living in fricking Mayberry with guns and pine trees.
My old browning abolt can’t be unloaded while on safety but still haven’t touched off a round unintended
