I struggle to believe that at the end of the day he was the best option. Great guy, love him, but not ready for this job. I think Bjork was so worried about hiring someone with a squeaky clean personal life that it got in the way of hiring a football coach, not a figurehead

Give him a chance. He won some games he shouldn't have and lost some games he shouldn't, much like Freeze did. Let him ride it out through the sanctions.

The only way it makes sense is if we are getting a two year bowl ban because with Luke at the helm, we aren’t going to a bowl game.

Doesn't take a genius to realize Luke is an absolutely shite in game coach. I sincerely hope he doesn't have a buyout or a huge salary.
The only argument I would validate in his favor is that he genuinely loves the program and school and wouldn't betray it.
