It was 20 years ago today for me. Ole Miss defeated a ranked Georgia team 18-10. Tommy T was our coach and we went on to a 6-5 record, but no bowl because of probation.

Was also my first date with my wife

Not sure of the first game I attended but my dad placed me in front of a radio hours after I was born to listen to a game

First overall was the 1997 Egg Bowl in Starkville

First Ole Miss home game was Tulane in 2000. Got to see Deuce run wild.

I don't remember my first Ole Miss game. My mom did the math one time and said that I was in attendance for about 170 games by the time I graduated from high school. The first game I vaguely remember was the 1983 Independence Bowl - I don't remember the game but I do somewhat remember my parents taking me under the stands because of the storms during the game.

Did you go to all the away games too? Assuming you started going at 2 and that's an average of 10 a year. That's impressive

I started younger than 2. My first game was actually before I turned 1... parenting was a little different in the 70s, apparently.

I made it to a lot of away games. I made it to an away game at every stadium in the "old" SEC except for MSU and LSU (I'm almost 40 and I'm still not allowed to go to a game in Baton Sewage) plus Arkansas since that was a fairly regular non-conference game. Also went to the 1983 Independence Bowl, 1986 Independence Bowl, 1989 Liberty Bowl, 1991 Gator Bowl (that was a disaster), and 1992 Independence Bowl... those were all before I graduated from high school. Since then, I've missed 2 bowl games (Motor City Bowl and the Music City Bowl against Georgia Tech).

.... 2003 LSU, manning fell down in front of me. I was in the enzdzone on concrete where they had added fold out chairs in front of the stands because record capacity and all. Extremely Close to field level., No one was in front of me but a railing goal posts, and the ole miss offense about 45 yards away

I grew up watching them on TV from around 8 or 9 but single parent household so couldn't get to any games. What a heartbreak for a first college football game

Ole Miss vs LSU 2003. I had torn my ACL the night before and came down with the flu that night.

Same game for me. I remember the team did their game entrance through the student section which was in the northeast corner back then.

My first game was the 2000 Egg Bowl. I got to witness Deuce's last game in Oxford. 8 years later...I witnessed Deuce's last game as a Saint vs the Panthers in the Dome.

October 26, 1991 Ole Miss vs Vandy. I was born and raised in Oxford.(hence the name doresrules, Lafayette Commodores) My father was not a fan of Ole Miss. He lived thru some tough times for the school and our state so he never really cared much for Ole Miss. On this day however he was able to cop some cheap seats in the North end zone and he took me to the game. We ended up losing 30-27. I was 8 at the time. He has since grown to like Ole Miss. I've gone to countless games since. Nothing beats sitting in the north end zone. That was my first view and although I could afford a better view, not to get all mushy but those seats keep me humble, grounded on where I've come from. Lol

Cotton bowl vs. Texas Tech. First game at the Vaught was the Arkansas game the year after, 2009. And first game as a student was the Jacksonville st. Game.
