Any word on a supposed "substantial" donation that was made for renovating the Vaught?

The official account tweeted out a short video titled, "If you build it, they will come." It didn't show anything about a renovation but still seemed a little odd.

What does this person(s) want done?

I'm for expanding, not renovating.

We need to get around the 70k mark. Tickets for big games are impossible to get and we need to be able to put visitors in one section amd not in pockets around the entire stadium.

I believe they’re very close to the fundraising goal for the campaign. I think they just want construction prices to come down before any substantial renovation is announced. I can’t blame them. It would just be wasting millions of dollars right now.

Standing room across the top of the NEZ would look good and would be used. I would take down whatever those things are at the top of the NEZ. I would build what AU has (sorry no pics- on mobile) which is basically luxury seating. One on each side.

I really hate how Bjork got rid of the walkway at the top of the South Endzone. That was a concept they should have carried through the rest of the stadium. Bjork really fricked us in so many ways.

So what's the next thing to do? I don't see any way they would build something massive. Hedges along the sidelines is my recommendation aswell as take down NEZ speakers or whatever those things are. Looks cheap.

It really needs both and renovations could include high dollar luxury boxes/seating. I remember a photoshop of a double wide on top of the west stands and it was oddly fitting.

Just carry the south end zone club level and over hang all the way around the stadium to trap the noise and have it bounce back down onto the field. It would cost like max $20M and significantly increase the crowd’s impact on the game.

Spending $100M+ to “upgrade the west side” is such a waste of money.

Strongly disagree. The east and west sides need to be demolished and rebuilt. They look like dog shite

You can improve the aesthetics of each side by doing what I said and making each side look like the south end zone. Spending another $80M isn’t necessary.

The West side is the only part of the stadium where you feel like you are in a time warp stuck in the 1970s. The concourse is atrocious and embarrassing. The entire rest of the stadium has a great concourse.

As a visiting fan I agree that ole miss should prioritize their neglected end zone and keep the noise in. I’ve been to pretty much all of the major LSU-Ole Miss matchups and have to say the party is as fun as LSU but the only stadium I’ve been to in the sec where it wasn’t noticeably loud. Not trolling as ole miss fans get on their feet but definitely a stadium design flaw

Now that Mizzou announced their endzone renovation, we are at serious risk of being the second worst football stadium in the SEC.

State has a nicer stadium. It sucks to say that, but it's true.
