LSU - 50% win rate under Kiffin (Big improvement)
Vandy - 100% win rate under Kiffin (Close games haven't been a thing for a while)
Arkansas - 50% win rate under Kiffin but we also have won 4 of the last 6 (Still struggling in Fayetteville but holding strong in Oxford)
A&M - 100% win rate under Kiffin (Huge improvement)
Auburn - 50% win rate under Kiffin (Big improvement)

He has done a really good job changing expectations and energizing the fanbase. This is the first year our team has played with an edge to them that I hadn’t seen since Freeze was here.

Just wish we could have the same recruiting success.

I think Golding has had a big hand in that too. Our defense is actually good this year. Not great, but outside of the LSU game they haven't been a liability like most years.

People were losing their shite over how many yards we gave up the first few games but it was pretty clear we were playing a "bend but don't break" vanilla defense. They absolutely stood teams up when they got to a shortened field.

And a healthy Perkins HAD to have made Golding's dick hard when.

ETA: frick you OP for jinxing both the Vandy and TAMU game.

Good points. A lot on here thought we overpaid him. We didn't. We've gone the cheap route too many times with predictable results.

That game would’ve been a lot different if their QB didn’t turn into Tom Brady and start throwing perfect dots in the corner of the end zone. They were well covered too. Nothing you can do about that

Even then, they finished that game by making 2 massive stops

Sure, it may happen but I don't believe in jinxes and fairy dust.

Remember back to the beginning of the year when you had people wanted Golding’s head, saying our D was slow and sucked. Kept saying he had just installed a new D so kids were thinking instead of reacting. Plus the guy can identify talent and recruit. Now if Kiffin can get some Offensive recruiters we will be cooking (especially on the O-line) and find somebody that can coach WRs!!!

Keep in mind that they hardly played each other for 40 of those years.

This is true. We only played twice in the 80s, 4 times in the 70s, and once in the 60s.

I think as it stands we are set up to take advantage of in state recruiting while state is down more than usual and also struggling to build any NIL support on par with the SEC west. Until then we have to dominate in state and go get who we can everywhere else.
