I can't tell you how many times I've heard that in the 'Burg. And if the shorts don't have flap pockets on the side, then you're overdressed.
"We don't get all dressed up for football games down here..." Or go to them. It amazes me-everyone wears black and gold on Friday in the fall, but when you ask them their weekend plans, "going to the football game" is never part of the equation.
If it ain't Bud Light Platinum, it ain't getting drunk down here, baw.

You homos need to try Luckytown Pub Ale, brewed here in Jackson. It'll make you hit your mother with a closed hand.

Not going through 30 pages of the actual thread to see if this was posted but apparently Dak and his friends were talking trash all day and even threw a group of ole miss fans' flag and trying to fight the racist

I am going to show my age here but can someone please translate "throwing flags" for me?
(Even though I learned tonight that I am "a young punk" & "still sucking on my mommy's tit")

Dak and co allegedly threw an ole miss flag or flags while in Pcb

mucho gracias gents, so they just walked by groups of people who were partying and ripped down their flags.....sounds like a pretty douche move. I mean what would anyone expect to happen if somebody pulled this stunt off at a tailgate?

yeah i meant literally...so random story..i went to PCB 4 spring breaks ago with a big group of then current fb players (met up with greg hardy there..he paid everyone's way into club lavela and all the patron shots..it was awesome and i have tons of stories if anyone is interested lol)...but back to the point.. when we would go to the beach we had the ole miss flag with the rebel flag and colonel reb on it..we would get stopped on the way to our spot by atleast 3-4 groups telling us how racist and pathetic we were (by black and white groups) and it was gerald rivers and melvin harris carrying the flag so it wasn't just some white guys with it..but that was the first time i truly felt like the rebel flag/colonel reb actually offended someone..it was weird

They were only doing that because Dan Jones, hiding behind a trash can at the Oyster Deck Bar, convinced them to do so.

People themselves are in control of what they find offensive.

I went to a school that is a true bastion of Southern Heritage. I mean the school that actually fired the first cannon shots in the Civil War with an arse load of traditions. Needless to say even though we had legitimate historic military traditions they did away with the Stars & Bars, Dixie etc...as school sponsored traditions back in the 90's. It was painful, especially since I have plenty of memories soaked in tears & blood around those traditions, but it was probably for the better in the long-run. Unfortunately the saying of perception is reality rings so true when it comes to racism in today's society.

You are surprised the rebel flag offended someone? lol
Posted on 3/11/15 at 9:21 am to Eric Nies Grind Time
i mean it wasn't the full flag..it had colonel reb and ole miss on it..but yeah it was kind of surprising that people were so pseudo-outraged over it...i mean hell i don't like nazis but if someone at PCB carried a nazi flag with some german professional team on it i would laugh my arse off and not go up to them talking shite
