Apparently a week or so ago, Egg Bowl tickets were so cheap that an Ole Miss guy pulled out his credit card and bought out a whole section on the 50 (lower bowl) and then anonymously gave them out to random Ole Miss fans.

Fun fact: the only time MSU has beaten a 9+ win Ole Miss team was 1940. They are 1-16 in those egg bowls.

I am siting in the lower bowl with a buddy of mine on Friday. He might have gotten us tickets from someone who purchased a shite ton of them a few weeks earlier. frick State. No one is talking about how their win over Arkansas was one of the dirtiest football games played this entire season. Our guys can't get sucked into that bullshite like the Hawgs did.

Haven’t seen this discussed yet. Second leading rusher for MSU suspended for first half

We need to jump on them right away and take the ground game out of it before he gets back

Is Kamario Taylor good? They’re talking about playing him with significant minutes. Feel like it’s the classic case of the starting QB sucking so the backup is the most popular player on the team. Think he can run but he can’t consistently throw well. Temu Lagway.

do you remember Chris Relf.. that's what could happen

quote:

*2009* Game @Starkville
Little-used backup quarterback Chris Relf accounted for three second-half touchdowns, as the Bulldogs upset No. 20 Ole Miss 41-27 in the Egg Bowl on Saturday.

Ole Miss (8-4, 4-4 SEC) couldn't stop the one-two combination of Relf and Anthony Dixon, who finished with 133 yards and a touchdown.

quote:

*2011* Game @Starkville
Behind the running of senior quarterback Chris Relf to begin the game, Mississippi State (6-6, 2-6) scored on its opening possession and never looked back as the offense manufactured 317 total yards, with a whopping 247 coming on the ground. But this night didn't belong to just Relf, who also completed 8 of his 13 passes for 70 yards en route to finishing his career 3-0 as a starter in the Egg Bowl.

I remember our defense acted like the read option was a Houdini magic trick they’d never even practiced stopping.

If someone doesn’t spy him or we don’t keep contain then he can beat us with his legs. He is very shaky as a passer but can hit some deep shots.

We are so damn close - we just gotta avoid the WAOM jinx and hope the players aren't too distracted.

Even if we lose it won’t be near as bad as that shite. I’m not even a WVU fan and I get PTSD from that
