I think Kliff Kingsbury would absolutely smash it here as a replacement

He wasn't that good at Texas Tech.

Based on what? His track record certainly doesn’t bear that out.

Fuuuuuuuuuuck no. I can’t explain why but I think that dude is fools gold. He will eventually crash and burn at ASU. If LSU or Auburn get him, that’s good news for us

“No pity for the mother fricking kitty” is such a cringe arse line. Dude looks like a teenager that somehow got a job as a head coach

I think it’s fair to say most of his success so far is due to Skat and Leavitt.

Who he identified, recruited, and grew. That's like saying Kiffin's success is due to QB play. Well no shite, he recruited and developed those QBs

You're basically betting that he's on the Kiffin track. Made a HC while too young / immature. Back to OC, still knows how to call a good offense, and just hoping he's now matured and ready to be a HC again.

Let him go to an FAU and prove it. Ole Miss doesn’t need to be the proving ground.

bro he’s had one good season so far. And that was because of his top 5 in the nfl running back. They have one good win this season and are 4th in a shitty big 12. attributing Skats (an FCS all american) success to him is a stretch. I’m not saying he’s a bad coach but you should hold off on anointing him as a top level coach right now.

If we want an offensive coach, I think I would have Rhett Lashley at the top of my "realistic" list. I do think he would be a hard pull from SMU, but he may be interested.

He is currently winning games with Jeff Sims. You might remember him from when he sucked at ga tech and Nebraska. That is at least as impressive as Kiffin winning with Blake Sims. Yeah he is way too young, but I think exciting offense is the way to stay relevant in the portal era.

Lashlee just signed an extension to make him a top 10 paid HC, right?

Me too. He's a jerk. We need a jerk. Just not one that acts like a 14 year old girl.

If everyone thinks Kiffin is truly out the door then what is the point of all of this?

I mean if every time Missouri, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, State, South Carolina, Arkansas or Ole Miss hires a successful coach then big money Alabama, LSU, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn, Tennessee or Texas AM will just come take him whenever they want .This will happen over and over because at least one or more of those "big money" 9 are always going to be in "need" of a coach each year.

So finding the next right coach is just putting lipstick on a pig.

If we were in this position with any other human being on earth as our HC right now, we wouldn't be having these conversations

Earlier you were talking about “hold the line” and then you post this? Kiffin is a unique type of a-hole. He ain’t leaving for money. He’s leaving for ego.
