Gentleman, seven glorious years ago we opened in Atlanta in the Chick-fil-A kickoff game against Boise. Five weekends later we went on to upset Bama.

Can we recapture that magic this year? I don't know. But I do know I'm willing to invest my time, money and emotional well-being to find out. WHO'S WITH ME?!?!

Anyone have any tips on tailgating / pregame festivities? Here are a couple of options that popped up from a quick search, but would love to add to this list with anything else you've heard of:

The only tip I have at this moment is don't invest your emotional well-being. Too early for that. The other I will keep my ears and eyes open for. I won't be there in person, but I damn sure will in spirit. Which I suppose is the same as investing your emotional well-being.

You mean the game where Bo threw three picks in the first half including one on the third play of the game and our defense bailed Freeze out? Like it was yesterday

I'll be there, I know it's labor day but with it being a Monday I expect the crowd will be about as bad as when we played Boise State maybe I'll be wrong though.

I was at that game. It was on a Thursday night. According to the 2014 team's Wikipedia page, there were 32,823 people in attendance. Ain't no effin way there were that many people there.

It was a very sloppy game. There were a combined 7 turnovers, 9 punts, and 23 penalties. There were six turnovers in the first half, including two instances where the teams traded turnovers. Some poo-poo arse football IYAM.

I remember Tony Conner absolutely murdering people flying around like a bat out of the depths of hell.

Man.. hate his career didn’t pan out due to injuries

Very very unfortunate for Conner. He was a beast, and his struggles showed on our defense back then as well.

Also from that Boise game, I vividly remember Cody Prewitt annihilating some dude with a tackle that I'm certain is no longer even legal.

All I mostly remember from that game was this guy:

Which is exactly how I felt every time Connor, Prewitt or Golson clobbered a guy.

Aside from a few games, that 2014 defense was so, so good.

We have a group of 12 that will be there.

two of us bought parking passes at the Home Depot Backyard lot. (literally right in front of the stadium) for $68 each.
