Is there anything other than a beat writer's refraining from commenting that forms the basis of this story?

Yeah true, but I'm not even sure if he's going full speed at practice yet.

I don't think the coaches know where he's at physically.

Per Chuck he's out for 2 weeks but will try to play through it this season.

Will require surgery at some point.

Depends on degree. If he is gonna play it must not be too big of a tear. Will affect him some but apparently they think they can give him limited reps and he can be effective. Personally, I'm not too worried about it

Google SLAP lesion tears, which it probably is, and see the grades and stuff On it. We just need more info, but apparently they aren't terribly worried about it. Get a shot, play, rest.

A bunch of players started boxing this summer as a form of conditioning and without the coaches permission. Apparently today they weren't technically boxing just horsing around.

They did say they were doing some things for chemistry within the team. It really is just a freak accident. These guys aren't professionals, they are kids. Just bad luck.

It was bad luck, but I don't know if I can buy the Chuck R levels of spin on this - boxing 3 weeks before the season in a lockeroom is dumb and completely ridiculous.

Shut him down for now... Give him some reps in the first 2 games.

This concerns me more than the Rod Taylor shoulder. Is this normal or are there issues within the team?

When you have 85 to 100 majority alpha males you are going to have problems that come up. Its not a issue, I just know Freeze stated that he thought a little more could have been done last year to make a more cohesive unit.
