Plumlee should be told to quit baseball and focus on QB fulltime, or prepare to move to WR

If he’s going to be THE qb going forward (and apparently he is), then he needs to focus on qb and not waste time with baseball.

Agreed, he needs to work on passing for next year. No doubt he can scramble and run

If he ever got serviceable with his arm he'd be a real weapon. I'm talking Nick Marshall serviceable arm.

If we’re gonna keep running our football program further into the ground I’d almost rather him quit football for baseball

It seems pretty simple yet quite the dilemma: either Plumlee becomes a little better passer and he stays at QB or I see him as the potential second coming of Christian McCaffrey which would require him to put on 10-15 pounds. Otherwise, he couldn't stand the punishment. Can he maintain his current speed with the added weight? Lots of questions.

He committed to us bc we promised him to play QB. Can't back out of that and try to make him a RB or something. That's a bad look in recruiting circles if you start doing that.

Maybe once Luke is gone the next guy can make that adjustment but not until then.

I hope he's not the QB of the future. Best option is what we have now. Dual threat by Corral/Plumlee rotation. More Corral though.

I have a better idea. Let the baseball coaches teach him how to throw, since the football coaches can't be bothered to do so.

One of our boosters needs to take one for the team and pay for him to go workout with David Morris all summer. A few weeks with him would serve him better than a few years with Larry and Curly in the IPF.

I've thought about this a lot.

Throwing, like swinging a golf club or pitching, is something that is hyper-mechanical. It relies heavily on technique. You can't just change it from week to week, no matter how many balls you throw in practice. It is something that will have to be honed in the off season and blended with increasing his arm strength.

That said, I'll give Jan Rice Plumber a pass this season... but not next.

Nah frick that, let him work on both and do what he wants.

It’s exciting to have our two freshman offensive stars playing both sports. I love it and can’t wait to watch these two in Swayze.
