Gives us a Mississippi guy, a prolific DB himself, 8 years coaching DBs, and a guy who has been inside states war room for the past three seasons and can help counter their recruiting efforts in state
Also rounds out the coaching staff and takes the question marks away... you can full speed recruit now because all the pieces are in place instead of telling a recruit hypothetical situations

We might take a look at Devin Bush Sr, who is an analyst at Michigan. He’s a former Florida high school coach so he probably knows how to recruit down there.

I do not understand all the Roach love from other programs pursuing him. Obviously I am missing something with the Giants and now Bama wanting him. I have always thought our D-line was underwhelming under him, and he has missed out on pretty much every D-line recruit we have been after. Has he signed any decent names since he has been with us? Granted, I understand we have been on probation and had Luke as HC.

This probably has more to do with our defensive line than anything. We just haven't recruited well there under Luke. I imagine Roach is pretty solid considering the interest from other programs and organizations he's receiving.

So did Alabama's defensive line coach leave? This could have something to do with trying to land McKinley Jackson as it has been widely known he has a good coach/player relationship with the kid and Alabama, like us I hope, is in the running to land his talents. However, I wasn't under the impression they hired coaches as a basis for landing individual players.

The rumor is that Brian Baker is being “demoted” to an off the field role, presumably to fill the position vacated by Burton Burns.
I wouldn’t be opposed to giving Baker a shot though.

Oh no! Not one of the best recruiters and defensive line coaches we've had in recent memory and who currently has one of the best pass rushing attacks in the NFL playing in the Super Bowl! The horror!
