Would we not just hand over all duties to Partridge and maybe pick up a recruiter? I'm honestly not familiar.

Got a feeling that is what is going to happen.. A little late to be looking for a DC right now.. Unless we try and get someone that is in the NFL..

I think we hired Partirdge as Co-DC understanding that at some point Durkin would leave us. I know when we hired him from Michigan, they were upset because they viewed him as their future DC as well.

I think he's the logical choice, and we just hire a good recruiter as LB coach

Ideally someone who can recruit outside the North East.

What is Partridge's role as current co-DC? I know he coaches safeties (a lot left to be desired in that area). What does he take on as DC currently? Durkin got all the hype and credit for the D.

I’ve got a feeling we are losing Lane to UCLA too. It would explain the recent hires (iffy), the recruiting and the portal silence. Hope he doesn’t go this late but Keith better have a back up plan in place.

I'm available. I played a lot of NCAA 2014 back in the day, so I know how to call plays and 'croot. I also used to play a lot of Madden, so I have NFL experience. I'll take $350,000/year.

You'll be seeing a lot of "engage eight" and safety blitzes if I'm the DC

What is Keith supposed to do if Lane and his agent come to us and say pay us more or we are going to Pasadena? Let them walk right over us? For frick's sake, Lane signed the new deal last month

Some of you simply live in fear of him going elsewhere. If he does, so be it. We ponied up and he has a good gig in Oxford. He had a chance to take his arse to Miami, Oregon, OU, and Gainesville. He chose to stay. UCLA is a coaching grave yard. They like to hire names that used to be great. They never seem to pan out at UCLA.

Will Muschamp? Friends with Kiffin. Actually a solid DC. Having total control of the defense may be attractive to him.

I like the idea of a maniac heading up the defense

He just has to ride that lightning between crazy and "can't do that shite on national tv"

He cost Auburn the Iron Bowl because he had to get out on the field and throw a tantrum about a random play.

Auburn lost that game 29-13. I'd say Muschamp's defense getting gashed by Derrick Henry for 271 yards probably cost them the game.

Mushchamp at DC would be a wild ride.

Could also try to pick off Charles Kelly from Alabama (Associate Defensive Coordinator/Safeties)

Y’know, Lane does have a brother in the NFL who does have a knowledge of the program

Chris Kiffin was pretty awesome. But does he really want his brother as his boss?
