Did you guys enjoy the visit aside from the game? How is their downtown / nightlife etc?

Downtown Winston-Salem is a bit of a dump, but the area around campus is really nice and neat. The football stadium is off campus though which is a bummer - not a ton around the stadium either.

Yeah it was fun. We drank at a strip mall sports bar chain place. It was pretty much irrelevant to Winston Salem. We could have been in Kansas City or Orlando all the same.

The stadium was nice. The people were nice. The weather was amazing. Ole Miss has pretty girls. Etc.

yeah I didn't have it in me to see what the "college nightlife" is like but it's a relatively small school of less than 9k students and they came off as kind of dorky. Very liberal arts look to them. The Homecoming court very clearly had solid GPA and a good personality if you get my drift.

I didn't have much left in the tank after the game because being awake since 2AM. I also was disappointed in the scenery as I thought it would be more mountainous like a smaller-scale App State landscape.

I wasn't gonna comment on the Homecoming Court because it would have been piling on. But. Damn.

WF was basically trolling itself.

I agree. He could have quashed all chatter of him going to Auburn by making one unequivocal statement. He wouldn’t do it and, instead, we floundered down the stretch and got to listen to Tom Hart talk about Kiffin being the new head man Auburn during the Arkansas beatdown of Kiffin’s Rebels.

Well, when he was asked those questions he was probably intending on leaving. Thankfully the collective, Keith and Lane’s daughter were able to talk him out of it

I’m not speaking on whether or not he was planning on going to auburn….

…but Kiffin has ALWAYS held to his rule of not speaking to coaching search rumors until after the season ends. It definitely caused a major distraction and the team meeting he held(which went against his rule) happened too late. I think he still will hold that rule publicly but hopefully he’ll at least speak to the players early on if something like that happens again.

Did I hear right in recent Season episode that Austin Simmons is already a Senior in terms of academics at 17 or 18?

I think it means Senior in High School. They were able to reclassify him so that he could graduate and enroll early.

I'm going to bet Lane's glad he dodged a bullet there. Freeze looks like he's aged 10 years since he arrived on the Plains.

That would make more sense. We gotta hang on to him. *If* Lane leaves for any reason my concern is Simmons and others following. Also, isn’t it wild a blue chip 5 star is our 3rd slot? I wonder what the future holds for Howard. Hopefully he is getting paid and living his best life otherwise.

Imagine rather being our 3rd string than starting at LSU. That's gotta be tough for them to handle.

I know it’s not happening and I know how people feel about him here but I would be willing to bet if Lane left and we offered Freeze he would come back in a heartbeat.

I don’t know if it’s Cohen, the boosters or what but he is not the same coach he as here. His teams aren’t even playing with full effort and that was one thing that was never a question when he was here and even at Liberty

He said he would be wearing the SEC graduate patch then off to grad school. That sounds like undergrad.

Fkkk that. It would be fun to shite on Aub but that would be the only satisfaction. I dont think he can identify, build, or maintain the staff needed in SEC football today.

Simmons had already completed two years of college work when he arrived at OM, so that makes sense.
