Texas A&M is less.
They are top 5 in facilities, recruiting, money and just about every category possible except for wins. That job isn’t middle of the road. They are one good coaching hire away from winning a national title or 2. They have literally everything you need to do that. Except the coach.

“Winning tradition” means frick all to coaches when choosing a job. It’s all about how much are you paying me, what do your facilities look like and what kind of NIL support do I have. They are elite at all of those.

UCLA and A&M are both coaching graveyards. Florida is shaping up to be one as well, TBH, but they just don't have the lengthy track record of being one yet. The best thing we have going for us is Carter. He's doing a great job as AD. As for A&M, they have Bjork and he is utterly incompetent.

All of this is true! Leadership is one vital aspect that is overlooked. Jimbo had all the tangibles to have a championship caliber team. However, it was the intangibles that he failed at. That is something that I think Lane does a truly outstanding job with. He can take less and do more. So as the caliber of our HS recruits trend up now that he is fully vested I can see us building something big.

Only jobs I see Kiffin leaving for are bama, Miami or possibly Oregon. I think, as of now, OM Job is better than Florida.

Fl state could get interesting as well.

He wanted to go to Miami in 21 and I think he would do it again.

FSU job is booked for a while. I don't see him going to UF or Miami and I'm not sold on him following Saban either. He already mentioned that it would be the dumbest follow ever. Sure, Miami is closer to his boat but they are also way less funded in football now than Ole Miss by virtue of being in the ACC. In Oxford, he is a 2.5 hour flight away from his boat already and he has the freedom in the program that he won't have at other places.

I am tired of spending every November talking about our football coach. I would rather read about our football team.

Is Dart hurt? Will be play Saturday?

Can we stay focused long enough to beat Miss State? I don't ever take that game for granted either way. They can absolutely beat us.

What bowl are you guys thinking? I would love to see Cotton. But something in Florida would be nice too. Don't want to go to Atlanta in January.

“ThAtS tHe PrIcE oF sUcCeSs!!”

I fricking hate that line/excuse. There are plenty of successful coaches that make half what Kiffin does that don’t have to deal with this bullshite. We are paying him enough that it should never be a worry

The problem that I'm once again seeing.....is that we(as a fan base) are riling ourselves up once again when there's currently no reason to be. This was what I alluded to earlier about last season. If we keep making it a story, then it will become the story. There's been absolutely no reason to worry about Lane leaving for TAMU so there's no actual bullshite we have to deal with.

What pank says is truth.

Stop being insecure pussies. Lane is not leaving us for ATM, UCLA, or anywhere else.

Oh I don’t think he’s interested in anything out there at this moment. I’m just saying that if he’s asked about it then he needs to definitively say “no, not interested in any capacity” and move on

And as soon as he does say that, people will be like, "Oh, he gone for sure."

Dude just wants to focus on the season. It's the fans that are making a big deal about this. Feel free to get pissed if he leaves, but until that day, let Carter worry about this. That's what he's paid to do. Kiffin isn't the end-all be-all.

At the end of every year people on the rant talk about Kiffin leaving just to trigger Ole Miss fans. It doesn't matter whether there's any smoke. Kiffin will be here until he's not, and there's no point in worrying about it.
