Strange strategy using Mason Nichols who is our best pitcher probably when we were up 12. Did the game get cancelled tomorrow or something? Could use him if it ends up a close game but now he might be burnt.

I was listening on the radio and the announcers said early in the game that Bianco had said Nichols was due some work and would pitch tonight in some capacity regardless of the situation.

Looks like we could really use Nichols today. Why the hell did he take Saunier out after only 5 innings? His pitch count was low and he was pitching great. Now we have a 1 run ballgame because bianco likes to get his pitchers work. How about you coach to win the game instead bianco.

Like everyone else, I am seeing a glimmer of hope in this team. But I am far from sold on them making the tournament. Clearly we still need a couple of arms. And we still have a few gaping holes in our offense (catcher, SS, etc) that will be dropoffs from last year. And last year was our worst year ever.
So if we do make a late run, where will the production come from?
And wat is our prediction for this weekend? I am thinking 1-2 sounds about right. 2-1 I would be pumped. Just hope we don't get swept.
