Bloomington is an hour from the liberal bastion of Indianapolis but it’s still a major US city with two pro sports teams and nice suburbs. I will assume Bloomington is probably a very nice college town though maybe not better than Oxford which is not home yet in all likelihood for Beard. There are a lot of variables here. We are in the same territory we were with Kiffin in he first two years.

It’s close to Indianapolis and then you have Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis all within 3 and a half hours

Bloomington is a gorgeous campus, a great school academically, and 10x more prestige and history than we do in college basketball. I would love to keep Beard but not shocked at all if he goes there. In my mind it's the better college basketball coaching gig.
Although at Ole Miss Beard has a looooot longer leash than he would at IU

That said, I honestly think of Indiana as the basketball version of Nebraska football.

If they offer he's gone and nobody can blame him. That said, I don't think they offer him. A lot of coaches will want that job and he does have baggae

Interesting comparison and I agree to a point. Another thing, with how good Matt Painter has been at Purdue it makes the job at Indiana right now that much tougher.

Man you gotta take the Vols in this one, huh? I can't see us hanging with them that close

I agree. Not the way we have looked for the last several games. However, Tennessee has not been good in the road.

Win or lose this is the best we have played in a month. If we play at this level in the tournament we can make it to the sweet sixteen.

Whew
That was a hell of a game overall.

A winning conference record, with the strength of the SEC this year, is really incredible

When they got that 4 point play I knew we were going to lose

Tre Davis has one god awful foul a game. And I really thought he did us in with that one

Brakefield kicked arse 2nd half

I’m just glad Brakefield and Murrell last home game was a win over a top 5 team. They played on some bad teams before Beard got here and easily could’ve left for a better program.

Great game by Brake in that 2nd half, awesome awesome game overall.
