Quite honestly, if you aren't actually in the stadium, that's not a bad time. It's the getting to the game so early and not much time to tailgate that will suck. I mean come one, the players will be walking through at 9 am.

I don't mind an 11 AM kick if I'm attending the game. Our fans will need to be there and be loud, although knowing us, we won't.

Get ready for "Lane Kiffin to ____________" rumors for the next three months.

He gone! to:

Auburn
Los Angeles/Westwood
Lincoln
Atlanta
Louisville
Austin
Evanston

Just name a place at this point. He gone! there.

My biggest complaint about this is that if we lose, I won't feel like watching football the rest of the day. With a night game I get to enjoy all the early games

LSU-Auburn is not gonna have the hype it usually does this year... I almost assumed we were getting that slot

I'm not super worried about any of the jobs that will open up this year. If I had to pick someone, I would say UCLA, but I doubt it. That's probably just buying too much into the easy narrative "he's a California guy, he wants to stick it to USC"

If Kiffin gets irritated at our fans not staying throughout a game, how would he be with only 1/4 stadium being filled at UCLA?

He wouldn’t trade a seat at the SEC table to go to the little kids table,

1/4th full is being extremely generous

Well that sucks since it's even earlier for me at 10 am. Now I have to start drinking at like 8 am

We got completely shafted for a likely top 15 matchup.

I have a wedding that evening, so I won't be partying hard during the UK game either.

He's a good coach and fans of other schools are going to want him. The reality is that he is now one of the highest paid head coaches in the nation (11th) at $7.25 million this year increasing 100k per year plus a buttload of financial incentives (For example, if he ends up winning out, he would make roughly $9.1 million on this year's contract alone). His buyout is unknown but I'm sure with the high salary, it is significant. So, for a school to even talk to him, they would have to be willing to pony up at least $10 million per year plus the buyout and the highest paid coach in the nation is Smart at $10.25 million.

Plus, you have the non-financial incentives. He's built a team that is winning. He doesn't have a dumpster fire to extinguish. His daughter just moved to Oxford, which is new for him since his divorce. He has access to the university jet to be on his boat in a couple of hours. He has built a transfer portal monster, and that would have to start from scratch if he left. He even came out and stated how good being in Oxford has been for him.

So don't get all worried because the reality is that Keith Carter locked down Kiffin and has basically said that he would not let money become the reason why Kiffin ever leaves.

His daughter is 15 and there is no blue blood position opening up. He is not leaving.

29,344 was their announced attendance, which is doubtful.

Looks like they count folks like we do for beisbol games.

Auburn

This is the crazy one. The Auburn Cult can't see that they are traveling down the path of being irrelevant for the next couple decades. Think about:

- You play second fiddle to Bama
- You are competing with UGA & Bama for local recruits (and they really aren't the brand they once were to recruit nationally well)
- The last 6 coaches got screwed over by boosters and run out.

So what half way intelligent Coach will take that job with out an ironclad +8 year contract at like $8M guaranteed?

I’m thinking I can just count by hand the number of folks in the stands at that UCLA game in about 30 minutes.

I guess you didn't read my post but $8 million per year wouldn't even get Kiffin on a phone call with Auburn.
