I think he paid a steep price. I honestly believe it cost him his dream job and I also believe it kills his ego.that he is coaching in a watered down CUSA instead of the SEC. His wife said with him and his sins are between him and God. He is a very good coach and recruiter and I wish him well, but I would never want him at Ole Miss again.

Let him have his money, especially if that's the only way he can get a shot of leg.

What about Freeze's wife and kids, much less the actual sex worker who got banged for cash?
That doesn't have anything to do with him being a coach.

What about all the kids who went to Ole Miss to play for Freeze?
Yeah, they could have been coached by clean Cutliffe and gone to the Indy Bowl in beautiful Shreveport in December. A lot of those kids were getting paid and doing gas mask bong hits.

I would take him back in a split second. Not only would I take him back but I would trade Kiffin for him. Freeze is that good of a coach and one of the best game day coaches that's out there.
Sure he made mistakes but it is the ADs office that holds the compliance team to ensure that violations don't get made and secondly if they do, they get covered up. Bjork fricked us 10x more than Freeze did. He went full cooperation and that was a mistake. He also didn't have a real compliance team until the NCAA was already fist deep up our arse. He screwed up the NEZ of the stadium. Then he saddled us with Matt Luke and took the A&M job.
So all that shite that went on, sure Freeze had a part in it but he wasn't the one that bent us over and shoved it in.

So did the transfer WR we got in from Western Kentucky. Last name started with a P.
Next year will be a complete reboot and start from scratch

If we don't have a serviceable QB then next season could be pretty ugly.

We need to let Lane work with Luke in the offseason. He held up pretty well against a solid BU defense. He has potential

I thought he looked solid when you consider he was basically just thrown into a den of wolves as a true freshman.

Yes Bork is a dumbass but you can not have the CEO of the biggest team on campus lying. I mean had he been honest I wouldn’t have an issue. Once you breach your integrity you got to go!

Wanted to say thanks everyone for participating in this thread!! Had a good time with it, already looking forward to football next year. We do lose a lot of valuable pieces, but I think we have a shot to win a bunch of games next year too. Hotty Toddy and LFG!

That's exactly why you have a competent compliance team to watch over all sports, coaches, etc. Freeze was left to handle all of that on his own while our 1 compliance guy was seemingly working to get a job with the NCAA. This was highlighted as a concern and Bjork refused to make a change until it was way too late.
You think coaches like Saban worry about compliance? No. They have a staff to handle that and only that.

Ok enough of Freeze. On to next year and two names we should hear much more from… Malone and Clowney.

Defense backfield is gonna be stacked. Hope we can pick up a pass rusher and clowney has a breakout year

I'm cautiously optimistic about next year. Schedule is pretty tame to start and let our new team build some chemistry. Anyone want to venture a starting lineup?

HJJ said what Hugh Freeze did hurt no one - it was a victimless incident. I was refuting that.

2022 schedule:
09/03 - Troy
09/10 - Central Arkansas
09/17 - at Georgia Tech
09/24 - Tulsa
10/01 - Kentucky
10/08 - Vanderbilt
10/15 - Auburn
10/22 - at LSU
10/29 - at Texas ATM
11/12 - Alabama
11/19 - Arkansas
11/24 (Thursday) - Mississippi State
To me, the key to the entire schedule is, just like this season, the month of October. If we can win 3 games in October, like we did in 2021, we should have a chance at 8+ wins on the season. I would call 8 or more wins a great success under the circumstances.
We are fortunate that we should be favored in 5 or 6 of our first six games.
