Not if he spends the spring playing baseball.

Not necessarily. If he's playing baseball he has to work on his arm strength so it could help. He won't get the time to work with the team as much during the spring but I'm sure he will be participating and working out.

Yea he is an outfielder and will not be gumming any runners down. Our baseball strength coach will get his arm into shape. Can’t rely on football.

Does that include the 186 yards and 3 TDS on the ground? We can complain all day about his deficiencies as a true freshman passer. He may or may not get better for next season. One thing is for sure, he gives us a much better chance offensively than Corral. I mean we are 3rd in the SEC in yardage this year with a ragtag group of olinemen and a couple of other true freshman having a major impact.

He doesn't have to improve to be 17-22 with 3 passing TDS to improve the offense. If he can just hit his short and intermediate passes 60% of the time the offense will be tough for most defenses to stop.

Man if Plumlee learns to throw it 10 yards he will be nearly impossible to defend. He’s putting up insane numbers with teams selling out to stop him. We would be idiots to not go all in on him.

If... if... they can teach him to be serviceable throwing the football, otherwise we are way too one dimensional.

A QB coach worth a damn can turn him into a functional passing QB by adding plays that make it easy on him. Bo Wallace wasn’t an NFL QB but he managed to put up huge numbers without having a cannon.

And that's why our current coaching staff sucks. If you can't develop QB with moderate skill coming out of high school into a decent passer then you have no business coaching the kid.

And I think it's really more about strength than anything with Plumlee. Corral on the otherhand needs work on his throwing mechanics.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure we don't have a QB coach and haven't for a long time. It clearly hasn't hurt us in the past, but with a kid like JRP you need a QB specialist to move him forward

We’re just so easy to stop. If you prep for a QB draw then it’s not hard to beat us...

Gotta be happy with a tie at the half. Offense is playing better and defense is tightening up
