Do we have a shot at making a bowl at 5-7, someone told me our APR score is actually decent this year I don't know whether that's true or not though

Or course. It would be idiotic not to.

If we go 5-8 with a bowl loss, you can bet your arse the administration will still use that as a reason to extend Luke

Guarantee this is gonna be just like 3 years ago when State came into Oxford and beat the shite out of us to get a bowl at 5-7. Plumlee is gonna Fitzgerald them in 2 weeks.

So we're 38th in APR currently the teams in front of us who could also finish at 5 wins are

California (5-4, 3 games left)
Arizona State (5-5, 2 games left)
Ohio (4-6, 2 games left)
Stanford 4-6, 2 games left)
Boston College (5-5, 2 games left)
Duke (4-6, 2 games left)

Corral's TD was the first passing TD we've had since Oct 12. Ugh that's disgusting.

good game, rebels.

I've said it on here multiple times; I'm a big Rich Rod fan. I agree you move Plumlee if Rich isn't calling plays next season, but if he is Ole Miss has a nasty tandem in he and Ealy. reminds me a lot of pat white and steve slaton

I also agree you should probably fire Luke if you can, but if you're stuck with him keep Rich Rod and build on this foundation.

I have to agree. Somehow, though, we have to get our receivers more involved (that might come with Plumlee becoming a better passer) and of course our defense has to get better still.

Ole miss should be point blank walking into every defensive recruit’s home promising immediate starts. I like macyntire a lot too, but wow even just watching the game on tv you could see LSU had a different level of athlete on offense

It’s really interesting, because I think Luke is a total clown, but he is surrounded by two great coordinators. Luke makes some absurd facial expressions throughout games

That's a stupid thing to say. Regardless of anyone's take on the coaching situation, the extra practices would be huge for such a young team.

ETA: It's not going to happen. 2016 was the last year 5-7 teams received a bid

Listen guys,

we need to get off this pre-teen PMS "omg we lost to Memphis, fire everyone!" and "omg we almost beat lsu"

I'll state the obvious, LSU wasn't trying. Ed Oregon normally looks like a steaming tea pot, but for the first time ever, he didn't care.

LSU is a going to be in the playoffs, ole miss and arkansas are walk throughs for them, A&M they'll start getting serious since Georgia is next.

LSU run defense isn't good, but they don't care, they know with their offense putting up points, teams will be forced to pass. Their corners weren't good against Bama, so they went all out trying cover our guys in man to man and didn't pay attention to the run. We had a few long runs where D-lineman were in the position to make a tackle but didn't want to dive i.e. risk injury and partly because they thought someone int he secondary would make the tackle hint their safety chewing them out in the sidelines for the lack of effort. LSU is just playing to win (of course) but they aren't going balls to the wall to risk an injury. (google Bama and Tau).

Same thing Bama did last year, beat #4 LSU 29-0, #18 State 24-0, then Citadel put up 17 points against Bama. Does that mean Citadel has a better offense then LSU and State combined? Or the obvious, Bama is playing injury prevention at that point.

Will admit Joe did try (not running or risk injury) and although he'd never admit it, obviously he wants the heisman

I can agree with you that perhaps LSU's level of intensity might not have been what it might be in a bigger game. That's up for debate at the very least. But the most positive aspects of what we did last night (i.e. the gash plays by our offense) were excellent and done against a pretty good LSU unit. Nothing more, nothing less. Frame it up however you like.

Geez, so doom and gloom. We just put up over 600 yards of offense on the #1 team in the country with a true freshman at quarterback. That’s a pretty good reason to be optimistic about the future.

It may be stupid to some.. but heres why.

What else do we have to practice on offense ? We rarely throw it up so it’s wasting the WR’s time

On defense ... we don’t have the talent to compete the elite teams... sure. We can beat arky and Vanderbilt but us preparing for central Michigan or some other crappy scrub team... I don’t see what the team actually gets out of it all .

They’ve been teaching techniques and lining up for over 3 months all with very young guys. They’re already getting all the work they needed to get in throughout the season.

Pretty sure it’s stupid to all

No offense, I’ve posted my fair share of dumb things too though so don’t take it personally. But if you’re being serious, let’s just assume you’re right and we don’t stand anything to gain. How do extra practices/reps harm us and what do we stand to lose?
