Do you care to rebut Jakesnake66 from another thread? He makes good points.

Given what we have on offense, what has Rich Rod done to maximize their production? What it looks like to me is that the extent of his adjustments has been to switch out QBs, which has only served to disrupt any offensive production that we had that worked.

Two qb's who can't throw, all of our wr's except one gone, and an oline that is soft? i shudder to think what this O would look like under the previous staff.

RR's scheme is averaging over 430 yards/game and is producing the most effective rushing offense we have had in a decade. I hate that we have taken a step back from last year, but the offense really isn't horrible. We are suffering from inexperience at the QB, WR, and OL positions.

The defense has taken an obvious step forward from last year, but still has far to go. The scheme is there and the rush defense is vastly improved from last year, we just have a lack of playmakers in the secondary, leading to us surrendering over 280 yards/game through the air.

Patience is key with this team. Just because we are showing signs of possibly being a good team in the future doesn't mean that we are a good team yet. Don't forget that we got royally fricked by the NCAA and are still in the middle of a massive rebuild.

Also, I have updated the second post ITT with our most up-to-date stats. Some things of note:

1) Pass defense still sucks
2) Pass offense still sucks
3) We are still losing the TOP battle despite being a running team. I would love to see us slow down a little bit and become more calculated rather than sporadic.

Edit: One more thing of note

John Rhys Plumlee:
-39-82 passing for 456 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT, 47.6% completion percentage.
-86 rushes for 508 yards, 4 TDs and 1 FL

Playing JRP is a double edged sword. He gives an impeccable ability to run the ball while severely limiting the ability to throw the ball.

Maybe I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, but I have literally said aloud dozens of times this year, “slow down, milk the clock,” when our offense is on the field. I guess the whole point of “tempo” is attempting to catch the defense out of position and to gas them, but for us it just mainly results in shortened offensive possessions. I can’t stand “tempo.”

We've never had such a weak schedule before. We have only won 3 games. It's time to move on from the 3 headed HC.

Eh... 2009 when we played 2 FCS teams was pretty weak but I agree with what you're saying

This schedule is weaker than 2009. The only team that wasn't beatable so far was Alabama. The entirety of the schedule is really weak this season.

Certainly COULD have taken 2 of 3 from Memphis, Cal and Missouri. Even just one now would feel huge.

Heck, 1 win against the beatables would have been nice. Nope, we lost them all.

I know the team is inexperienced, but the blame lies squarely on the head of our head coach, and Rich Rod to a large extent.

In that regard, I know JRP is lightning fast, but until he can learn to throw anything but 30 yard bombs, the Rebs should be using him like the Saints use Taysom Hill.

JRP will get much better with shorter throws before next season I predict. I also predict he doesn't play Saturday.

He better not play Saturday. We need him for the egg bowl. At this point you have to play Tisdale to see what he’s got. They are all freshmen and if we lose Tisdale to another school and he blows up, we will look like fools. Plus Auburn defense not having film will help.

Every single one of these points is 100% valid. I would add that Tisdale might actually be capable of throwing over the middle rather than always deep, sideline throws.

That would also require an offensive coordinator with enough of a brain to incorporate those types of plays. He simply doesn't.

I must be overlooking something, but since this season is basically a wash at this point, doesn’t it make sense to redshirt Tisdale?

He can play three more games if I’m not mistaken and still redshirt.
