I really don't see how Luke will keep this job if the season (which will) inevitably fails... I'm guessing Carter has the power to fire him. Which reminds me, why do we still not have an AD or chancellor after all this time has passed? I feel like most other schools would have gotten replacements by now

We need this recruiting class. I don’t think he gets fired but he won’t make it through week 5 of next year.

Coaches have kept recruiting classes together before. We don't need to keep Luke in order to keep this class in tact. We would be doing more harm than good

Agree with you Henry, finally, you shouldn’t keep an underperforming HC just to appease recruits. When would be a good time to fire him if not this year if we continue this path? Plus these are 18 y/o’s and they just might like the next guy more.

If we have a new guy lined up, we should let Luke go. The earliest that seems possible is the last week of the season.

And if they don't we will have 1 decent recruiting class to hold up the program. This isn't just throwing away one class.

Don't be a simpleton man. Beating Bama was fun but the program is where it is currently because of Hugh Freeze.

No one big is hiring Hugh Freeze as their HC. The guy is infused in himself. Only reason to explain a guy in a hospital bed coaching like a dickhead.

This is the same guy who wouldn't fire Mo Harris.

So you want an intern AD and Chancellor to make the fire? Because then who leads the coaching search? Also any coach with decent suitors is going to want to know who is boss is going to be. You may be able to get an "okay" coach but an "okay" coach will just further hurt the program. I'm not arguing about whether Luke deserves to stay, I'm simply asking if you've even thought about that? Or you're too busy being butt hurt that Luke got the job to begin with

pioneerbasketball. He's the biggest basketball fan on this site. We might not win the SEC but we're returning all of our talent regardless. Maybe we can make a run this year

^^^ Boy oh boy I hope so. Football is going to have me solidly in the doldrums and I'm gonna need serious sports help by then I'm afraid.

Exactly! This X 1000. The program is in a horrible position to fire someone.

Corral wouldn’t stand a chance playing hurt against this defense. Probably smart to give him a week and let the backups take the beating. Split time with both back ups so one doesn’t get killed.

They are favored by 34.5 last I checked... I hate to say it, but I'm expecting something similar to the past couple of years, and twitter is going to be a madhouse. I really really hope the Rebs prove me wrong Saturday, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Tua and his WRs are going to have some long TDs. Book it. Career day for Jerry Jeudy.
