Serious question. Would The Mannings even consider sending Arch to Ole Miss if Leach were the head coach in 4 years? Those personalities don’t really mesh but the air raid and what we’ve seen so far from Arch look perfect for each other.

One big arse job evidently because it always seems to take a lot longer than it should.

I'm not saying now, but if at the end of the year we don't make a bowl game, then Luke doesn't deserve another opportunity. So Luke gets a free pass because we don't have a dedicated AD? Can we not secure an AD in 3 months time? I'm admittedly not up to speed on how long that process takes.

Keith Carter does have the authority to fire Luke and will if we only win 3 or 4 games like everyone expected when Luke was announced as coach. We won't hire Leach that much is clear. Don't know who the targets are yet but I'm sure our coordinators will at least get a look. I think the Mannings will use any excuse to keep Arch away from us. Doesn't matter the coach.

Why so sure about Manning?

I get that there would be pressure to be all world if he came here, but at the same time they named him Arch and he plays QB. If they were trying to keep the family pressure off him they aren’t doing a good job

He will go to LSU and be the bane of our existence for 4 years

They never pressured any of their kids to come to Ole Miss. And quite frankly, it's probably going to be better for Arch's career if he goes elsewhere seeing as we are a dumpster fire right now. There's a lot of similarities between Ole Miss right now and when we were recruiting Peyton.

This is all assuming Arch even pans out. Kid is only a freshman

Oh I agree but that family wouldn't think twice about sending him elsewhere. Their 'love' for Ole Miss isn't the good old fashioned love story the PR team paints

I was friends with Cooper while at Ole Miss. haven’t seen him in a while. I can tell you that Cooper loves Ole Miss and played his heart out for Ole Miss. Arch is his son. So pump the brakes on how much Archie is involved. My guess is he gives Arch zero pressure for or against. Eli loves Ole Miss too. So again, Archie is probably the 6 or 7th most influential person in his family regarding Arch. Peyton probably couldn’t care less where Arch goes btw.

Hey homeboy what's happening

Arch deserves to go to a place that'll get him in the pros. I hope it's here but lesbianhonest, because you know better than anyone on the board how bad our situation is, our chances of being competitive soon are slim at best.

And I don't think Archie is involved other than to say I'll support my grandson wherever he goes

Why is there even a discussion about a QB in like the 9th grade? 4 years ago around this time OM had beaten Bama for a 2nd year in a row. Who knows where the program will be in 4 years.

You want Keith Carter to hire the next coach? Come on man. We'd just end up with another GOB hire.

Look, Matt, you don’t deserve to be head coach. You’re the only coach in college football that interacts on message boards. We knew you weren’t a good offensive line coach, yet you defied the odds and GOB’d your way to a millionaire salary at our beloved alma mater, and at our expense.

Please, fall on your sword. Save this program. Leave and a ell Tacomas at Cannon Motors. Serve minors booze at the Levee. Hand out brochures at Rowan Oak. Anything. Just go away.

We hired Freeze without an AD. The last hire a real AD gave us was Luke, Nutt, and O. Maybe it would be better for us to bring Archie back to find another coach. He has a better track record of finding real coaching talent.

You mean let Archie hire another guy to run the program into one of the worst NCAA penalties the program has ever seen? Yeah I'll pass.

...Henry shows up talking about beating Bama in 5..4..3..2... As if in those same seasons we didn't lose to worst teams for no damn reason in those seasons. As if the guy didn't go 5-7 his last season. The same guy who passed on Minshew, passed on the LB from Grenada, passed on the RB from South Panola Henderson, chasing stars we never had a shot of getting.

I like the idea of bringing Archie back for the next hire. Worked well with Freeze, how could Archie predict the dude would be a lunatic with the fame.

Dores, everyone cheats. We just got caught. The whole leo thing was rare.

Those years with hugh were the best we have ever seen. Hugh had Saban figured out. Beat them back to back and should have beat them 3 years in a row. Who the hell has done that to Saban?

They would never hire hugh back but I would in a second. Im all about winning.

We won't win with this current offense. You got to be pass first to beat these big boys in the sec. Hugh showed us how. He is going to get a big time job soon.
