I’m convinced State has been practicing voodoo for their baseball games against us.

I'm afraid Caracci has lost it.

We’ve got to figure something out.

Holston can get 6 outs.

Stokes can get 2. 3 at the most. First guy that reaches base you have to pull him.

Woolfolk has zero confidence. Throws 88 MPH fastballs up in the zone.

Caracci’s fastball has lost all it’s life.

Ethridge is good but we need him in long relief.

You have to win 1 run games to advance in postseason. Not sure what this team can do at this point. Just gotta score more runs.

I don't want to be "that guy", but someone has to. We seem to be "ole miss'ing" at just the right time. Kills me to say. Felt good after Saturday, don't really care about governors cup honestly, but it's been building. Our pen has been steadily declining for several weeks. Hopefully this weekend goes well and gives us a shot in the arm to get back on track. The ole miss fan in me is starting to get concerned.

I just hate that we are sitting pretty with a good record and all but of course 3/10 of our losses on the year are to our arch rival.

Every fan who has seen a game this season knows Caracci and Woolfolk are down on velocity and obviously everyone has a scouting report. It’s time to mix it up, throw other guys late in games.

I certainly didn’t want to lose to State but that’s not the biggest thing for me tonight. I was surprised Caracci was put in and then bigly disappointed he couldn’t hold it. That’s the bigger issue for now. In fact he really didn’t get an out. The only one was a sac bunt. It’s definitely worrisome.

Caracci was throwing 92.

Down the middle.

It’s obvious those guys just don’t have it like they did early in the season. Yet we keep trotting them out there and they keep getting blown up. I get not wanting to give up on people but my gosh, at least let the tired arms rest a couple weeks or something. Save them for the post season. We could’ve easily let some of the younger guys close this one out.

What a heartbreaking loss, but we had an awesome experience. That’s the only thing right now that’s keeping me from being to upset about tonight.
I have the most respect for Thomas Dillard now. My daughter brought a ball to get signed before the game just hoping one might would. I took her down by the dugout and Thomas walked up and saw she just had a regular ball, so he grabbed a stamped NCAA/SEC ball for her and got the whole team to sign it. She was so excited. But what stuck out to me was that he stood there a good ten minutes talking with me about his faith and God. And everything about church. Hardly anything about baseball. Even when Kessinger and Fortes walked over and we talked with them about the game, he still kept talking after they left about where we were from and if we had a home church.

I don’t know, it just really stuck out to me. He asked my daughter what she wanted to see tonight, and she said for him to hit a homerun like her lol (she’s 5). When he went deep my jaw dropped. Made my little girls night. He defines what the game is all about. Just go out there and have fun playing the game you love and the wins will come. And if they don’t, try again tomorrow.

Anyways sorry for the long read, but maybe someone can relate to it. And yes, I’m in agreement we need to shake a few things up with the pen. I’ll probably start picking that apart tomorrow after having a great night. And not sure if y’all could here it on tv, but Jesus that Mario sound after a pitch drove me crazy.

I'm pissed after last night, and I'm willing to bet the team is pissed too.

Time to get back to the way we started the season. Fire up the bats, electrify the arms, spin the tires. GTH LSU and let's sweep this goddamn series.

Carracci needs about two weeks off from baseball. I’d tell him to go on a vacation and not touch a ball for 2 weeks. Don’t even dress him for games. These guys are gassed. They need some time off. Throwing him on Tuesday before a Thursday SEC series start probably wasn’t the best move.

Our pen just isn’t that deep. Plus our starters aren’t working very deep into the game.

I also get Bianco has a history of late season let down but I really don’t see the blame for him the last two series as twitter seems to think. Last night was questionable with be bullpen but if Carraci goes 1-2-3 in the 9th nobody bats an eyelash.

Edit-I guess what I’m really saying is no matter who’s out there somebody has gotta make a play and lately we just haven’t been doing that. Bianco will take the heat for the late inning collapses but with the lack of depth in the pen what else is there to do?

Caracci got overworked before people had a scouting report on him, so it’s just a regular ol’ doublefrick. Woolfolk is toast, and Stokes shouldn’t pitch for more than 2 outs if there’s less than a 5 run lead. Our pen is as shallow as a puddle irl right now

We have to get some younger guys work in the blowout games. Or people like Conner green. It can’t just be Ethridge Holston Carracci
