We're either L or M. I can never remember.

I'm so freaking ready for this weekend and the next.

Or, when they prevented parking in the Grove? Disremember when that was.

That was in the late 1980's.

Lucky dog. Im about to suck it up and drop about $200 on one.

This is without a doubt going to be the most crowded Oxford has EVER been. Bama fans travel well here anyway. Add in a top 10 matchup and Gameday. Now if they would just put the new Playoff Trophy at WalMart then the whole state of Bama would be there.

Have they said where they will actually set gameday up at?

Thanks; guess the trees weren't in danger, after all...

But, watch out beating the Updykes.

Two questions for you since I've never been fortunate enough to go: 1. How big is the Grove? (Looks gorgeous but I've always wondered). 2. What is ESPN's excuse for not visiting? Size?? Setup??

1. 10 acres

2. We have always shite our pants when we needed to get a key win to set up a quality matchup

Heard them whining about the set-up earlier this year; but, said they had something designed as a workaround.

Thanks for answering. I will say Gameday has visited plenty of schools despite that which makes things just inexplicable from an outside perspective. WTH were they doing visiting some no name team in South Dakota (think it was in S. Dakota) And they did so TWICE?!

I mean I DO understand the whole big game thing but they don't even adhere to much of a pattern or any real production rules so far as I can tell - big games only some of the time. Guess I just feel a place so iconic should've hosted it before now.

I've yet to hear a bad review of the Grove or OM. Not one! The entire campus is just gorgeous.

It was North Dakota it was pretty cool the 1st time they visited but this year it was pretty bad. North Dakota State is absolutely killing everyone on the FCS level and has beaten like 5 straight FBS teams.

I've heard they'll set up in front of the union. God what a cluster that would be.

Pretty cool the first time, I agree; but, it's still north Dakota.

That being the real issue wouldn't surprise me. The last time they came to UT they picked a really lousy spot in terms of visuals but you know how tv frames stuff and we have one of the the better broadcast journalism set-ups and have had an on campus studio that broadcasts for a while. One of the things that also goes unmentioned when it comes to things like game day is that Knoxville has TONS of television resources - people with technical expertise, experience, and equipment. We've been in broadcast and cable tv biz for a looong time (channels everyone knows too but even before then). Freelancers and stringers are a huge part of shows like gameday.

I guess I just wish they'd be honest about it all if that's the reason. It can easily be worked around. Personally I think they're just cheap asses. That each school is getting an on campus studio due to the launch of the SEC network should help.

I honestly don't want to deal with Oxford that weekend. I'll be watching from home.

I can def. understand where you're coming from given the small town nature of Oxford + the fact that tons of people will flood it (even more if Gameday chooses Oxford) I can see your point. It would easy for the town to get overwhelmed and part of OM's charm is being a college town - a real town at that. A big turnout could easily become a nightmare for fans.

I was a little bummed about the 2:30 kickoff (wanted 6 pm) but then i remembered how badass the party in the Grove will be after we beat that Gump arse.
